One Inch Punch – Pretty Piece Of Flesh Lyrics 22 years ago
"Guess who's gonna be the first to pull it from you
But of the steel seal,
representing Montague,
Love lorn, torn from two sides,
thinking of dark skies,
and through the heavens I be seeing worlds collide. "

obviously this has to have some kind of refrence to Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Montague, love lorn torn from two sides, seeing worlds collide. self explanitory, no?

im surprised nobody commented on this already! such a wacky wonderful song

Massive Attack – Angel Lyrics 22 years ago
i think this song is about a man (or whatever) who loves to love this girl. and that they're meant for each other, that God has brought them two together. not to mention he thinks that she is this really beautiful creature, all the men want her.

i think this might mean meeting somebody, and they say I love you, but you dont love them. so you're telling them to fuck off. and maybe liking them at first, then you got to know them, and you didnt like them so you could expose all their secrets they've scared. maybe

The Chemical Brothers – Asleep From Day Lyrics 23 years ago
this song is kind of complicated. in my opinion, i think it might mean being tired or stressed of something, and wanting something more simple. and also being thankful for the people around them.

No Doubt – Hella Good Lyrics 23 years ago
yes, Tony, Tom, & Adrian (well maybe not as much, he barely helps with the lyrics) all love the sound. They loved recording in Jamaica. And Tony, especially, helped make this record possible, they called it "his baby". He loved it that much.

No Doubt – Hella Good Lyrics 23 years ago
dude you guys hate the band so much yet cant stop talking about them? i dunno about you guys but i'd rather talk about a band that i actually LIKE rather than trying to prove myself wrong. just give it up. no doubt grew up, dont expect them to play the exact same music once their 50, you dont want them to write Just A Girl over and over again? by the way, THAT WAS POP! "oh they're soooo pop now, they're on MTV, therefore they must SUCK because they're POP" they were on MTV when that video came out and they were *gasp*! POP! deal with it. no doubt is proud of their music whether you like it or not, they're making the music that THEY like, and isnt that what a BAND does. "oh they focus on gwen in magazines" soo fucking what, they're just magazines. i thought you people dont care about that publicity stuff, that is a part of being pop, i thought you didnt like that awful stuff. care for the music, man. they write their lyrics, each person has a part in the band. oh yeah, the word hella was a word often used in the bay area, and gwen just picked it up.

No Doubt – Just A Girl Lyrics 23 years ago
That is not the definition of 'selling out'. just because they changed their style of music into something else doesnt mean they sold out. come on, you dont expect that they'd play songs like Just A Girl when gwen is 32 years old do you?? they've grown, come on! you grow, you change. they make music thats to their liking, is that selling out? making music that you like? SELLING OUT means being on pepsi commercials, chili's commercials, having barbie dolls, lipsticks, combs, paper, pens, pencils, cd players, perfume, everything made after you. hense SELLING-out. and about "they used to be sooo ska, but now they're pop" hello, back in tragic kingdom they were still POP! deal with it, you know you like some pop music just admit it. pop is derived from the word popular, and no doubt was popular since Just A Girl came out. and they were never completely ska music, or punk. they were alternative. because the music they made couldnt be labeled. the music they make now may be popular, but rock steady is a type of music. its called jamaican-dance hall. listen to dance hall music (Dancehall Crashers, obviously is a dance hall band, same beat at ska) but imagine that stuff with a jamaican rhythm to it. reggae-ish, huh? try listening to Underneath It All, nice beat good music great singing.
