i wish people would just associate this song with cruel intentions, yes the films good- but this song is so much more and this is songmeanings- not a movie board! this song to me is a momentous occasion song like the day you finish school and walk out the gates- this song was playing in my head. its an anthem of our generation- one of the verves best known songs, but you should listen to some of the less well known stuff and hear the genius that is richard ashcroft. i think the first line explains what the song is about- its about life and how it is bittersweet- you get the good and the bad! |

the singer on this is the lead singer from grimace, i cant remember her name. i think spunge met grimace when they ran a competition for a support act on an old tour and grimace were 1 of the bands that won it. hope that helps! i like this song and have been involved in a friends band doing a cover of it. |

i know this song is old- but to me it ill always be relevant. its great when your angry can just stick it on and go find some pigeons to kick and you do feel so much better. this song is also good to taunt my sister with- shes got a guinea pig, hehe. ive introduced so many people to spunge and now at parties i can listen to msic i want to due to the fact that they are brilliant! |

tanya i have to disagree with you completely. ive met them 3 times- 1st time they hung around after the gig so they could meet the fans and hugged people and signed autographs and tried to chat with as many people as they could. then i met them again this summer- once in the signing tent at distortion, they couldnt talk to people for long due to the huge queue of people waiting, but still they tried to talk and they seemed genuinly interested in listening to what fans had to talk about. then i met them later that day when greenday were playing- even after a whole day of people coming up to them they still had time for the fans, but i didnt expect too much from them, so i went and said hi to them then left them alone as its only fair- i wouldnt want to be bothered all day. they're dedicated to there fans- listen to some of their songs they thank the fans, they also have email address's on the website and they do reply!! spunge are a really hard working band and they do appreciate their fans! |

it is about suicide, its about a guy kelly actually knew, he jumped infront of a train. it was from when kelly worked on a market stall and the guy came to ask if he knew the train times. its the body blocking the train lines and the blood is whats painting the everything red. quite a morbid sad song, but still brilliant, an anthem of life. |

from the notes in the album you know wthat this song is about how kelly heard a man go and ask a woman if she wanted to dance, but she said she was too tired, so he said step on my old size tens and i'll take you around. kelly found this a really romantic thing and changed tens to nines so it would fit better in the song. despite JEEP not being that great of an album, i still really quite like this song. trhe video is meant to represent a trip to the fancy dress shop Mr Benn went to. |

the original version had a line about suicide in the last verse which feeder cut out :
