This song is nothing short of incredible. Everything about is so sincere. It's a reminder of how great of a musician Elliott was and how much impact he had and still has today. The end of this song always makes me stop and think-- things were looking up for him and then, all of a sudden, news of his death was broadcast. Great song by a great musician... Ben Folds is amazing. |

This song definitely impacts the soundtrack for 'The Crow'... it has the right "mood" to fit in with all of the other songs listed. Even though the acting is kind of lame, 'The Crow' is a phenomenal movie-- one of those that I have to sit down and watch everytime its on. |

In my opinion, he is singing about how he seems to fuck things up ("everyone I know goes away in the end") and that he could be somewhat disgusted with how he is living his life, but in the end, despite his despair, he wouldn't change a thing about himself of the life he leads. |

What a fucking awesome song. Its one that most people pass up because they arent in the "mood" because its so much slower than most of the other songs on the album. It seems that Brand New almost showed a different side when they did this song when compared to their other stuff. Anywho, this might be one of the best, if not the best, track on the entire album. This song is almost unreal to me. It says so damn much in three minutes. This guy is remembering all the good times hes had with this special girl, the one he can say he loves. To him, its comforting to know that hes the only one feeling how he is and that there is someone there if he needs someone, a true friend, to turn to. This video rocks just as much as the song and it fits the song almost pefectly. To me, this song is nothing but raw human emotion. |

Where to start, where to start? Well, in my opinion, it takes a bold person to admit they like Avril and an even bolder person to go out in public and pay money for the CD. I was reading Rolling Stone and Avril says that she wont rest until she completely wipes out pop music. The sad thing is that she thinks she sings punk music. Boo-hoo ::tear::. I also don't like the fact that ALL the emphasis is put on her... there are 3 other people in the band that actually can play an instrument. In my view, shes a hypocritical poser. She does try to suck up to MTV and thats really a shame that shes reduced to that.
On the song itself.. well... it blows major ass. I think its basically saying that this conceited bitch is too afraid to tell people that she likes the skater kid cuz hes not decked out in Abercrombie. So finally when he gets famous and is on MTV, all the preps like him. Just kinda rubs in the fact that Hollywood is pathetic.
If you're an Avril fan and are offended by this, too bad. Find solace by listening to this shit and buying another neck tie. |

Where do I begin with this song? I like GC pre-MTV and they were awesome. They still are, except this song. Its too new-wavey and kinda reminds me of the 80's for some reason (?) Other songs off the new CD are actually pretty good. Bloody Valentine is an awesome song. I saw them at Warped and they were great.... their stage show rocks cuz of all the energy.... But when I heard this song, I was pissed. It seems so simple compared to the other songs they've written. Oh well... Kinda reminds me of the Get Up Kids and their new CD- more experimenting. |
