This song is absolutley amazing... what else is there to say? Chris's acoustic skill has improved so much. His writing ability has blown me away- I'd be lying if I said that each song didn't have in impact on me. I can relate to so many of his songs. It's great when it feels like someone's writing the wongs for you. Especially from those of us who are not so easy with words. Even though I personally enjoys everything before he became Dashboard Confessional 'The Band' I still love the music. Thanks for helping those of us who try and express themselves, Chris. |

I love this song- it brings so much out. A past... love and I are no longer together. He sent me photographs of him ans he sprayed his cologne over the letters he wrote... such sweet letters they were too. Now we're over, and whenever I hear this song i want to cry. I feel like it was written for me... All too often I find myself smelling those letters and "pouring over photographs" of him. He lives in PA and I in FL... the distance was awful. Every time I hear this song it reminds me of him and the love that we used to share together... |

Anyways... this is an amazing song. It's sort of scary how i can relate almost every song off Living Well to my relationship right now. I think this song's about forgiveness. He want's to try just one last time to make things right forever.He's wishing that the girl would tell him that she still feels the same and feels the same as he does. He wants to move on with her and wants them to forget those bad times they had. Great new album by the way- buy it! |

I absolutley LOVE this song to bits. What' you have's not what you are is sort of like saying, to me at least, wat you are on the outside isn't what you are on the inside. I think it's about a guy who fell in love (maybe) with a girl who broke his heart. And he's saying that he'll never go back to her. |

This song means a lot to me and I can fully relate to it. It's about a girl, obviously, who is wondering why her life wasn't more like a movie. Dur. She's tried to make it so and "erase" her past to make her life more movie-like but she can't forget it. But she can't ever go back to the way that it used to be. I can totally relate... why can't life be like a movie? When it says,
"She's loved and she's lost,"
I can relate... i know that i'm loved. BUt i'm lost and i don't know where to go. That's at leaset what the song means to me. |

Jimmy Eat World is so amazing, this song is the most meaningful one to me. I love the lyrics in this song, they're so beautiful. It makes me think of the realtionship i'm in, and how my boyfriend is the star that i've been waiting for, and the first star i saw, my ex-boyfriend, wasn't the one for me.
