On the first January 2008 long time friends Koley O’Brien and Joe Spargur founded A B & The Sea.They moved from Wisconsin to California. They added drummer Troy Lawton, bass player Zak LaVigne and David Hunt on keys. Their sinny power pop sound has seen comparisons drawn to the Beach Boys meet The Beatles. Their beachy, carefree vibes have landed them gigs throughout San Francisco.
A B & The Sea recorded their debut ‘Boys & Girls’ EP at legendary Different Fur Studio in San Francisco. The EP was released to critical acclaim and was declared one of Metromix’s top 20 albums of 2010.
In 2011 they released their follow up EP titled ‘RUN RUN RUN’.
They released their first LP 'Constant Vacation' in 2012.
