Saintsenaca may come from the midwestern United States (Ohio) but their music is anything but "whitebread".
Despite their superficial visual resemblance to the usual hipster band, their brooding and poetic lyrics are wrapped in outstanding and refreshing pop. Their live shows are affordable, intimate and always innovative. The floor of the hall is usually invited to play percussionl the intensity of the music will completely surprise you.
Zac Little and Maryn Jones provide most of the vocals. Maryn's etherial voice in particular will haunt you- songs like "Fed up with Hunger" capture her talent for using pauses and spare phrasing to drawn you in. The rest of the band provide strings, guitar, and whatever other sounds they bring to the party- banjo, dulcimer, synthesizers are all on the go.
