A progressive rock band that only consists of two full-time members, Jim Matheos (former Fates Warning guitarist) and Kevin moore (Chroma Key keyboardist and vocalist).
The albums are largely recording independently before coming together for the final production and mixing.
The band's name is in reference to the Office of Strategic Influence, which was a short-lived American government agency formed in 2001.
The band has featured a number of guest musicians and vocalists including: Sean Malone, Steven Wilson, Mikael Åkerfeldt, Joey Vera and Gavin Harrison. Mike Portnoy was the drummer on the first two albums, before Gavin Harrison replaced him on the following two albums.
