Lucy Kate Hale (born Karen Lucille Hale; June 14, 1989)is an American actress and singer. Hale was one of five winners of the reality show American Juniors. She is best known for her role as Aria Montgomery on the ABC Family series Pretty Little Liars. Hale recorded and released her debut studio album, Road Between in 2014.
Hale is a native of Memphis, Tennessee.She was named after one of her great-grandmothers. Her mother is a registered nurse. She has an older sister Maggie who is a teacher] and a step-brother Wes. Hale was homeschooled.[7] During her childhood, she took acting and singing lessons.[8] In August 2012, Hale revealed she had suffered from an eating disorder.[9] She started out as a singer, appearing in American Juniors (2003) in search for new band members, she sang 1980's hit "Call Me" which won her the place. The band disbanded in 2005.
