... The concept for Novedarahs originally began in a town near Hartford, Connecticut in 2005. In the beginning, when the band was still a concept going by the title "7th Layer Circle" it was a two piece, one guitarist (Dan Teague) and one Vocalist named Alycia Hogan. The two parted ways however over personal reasons and the idea for 7th Layer Circle was put indefinitely on hiatus. Several weeks later, Dan Teague attempted to record 3 songs which made up the debut 7th Layer Circle demo "Garage Recordings". Only 30 copies of the Demo CD were made and very few were sold. Very disappointed in this first Attempt, Teague took a break from writing and recording for several months. In early 2006 however, the fire was lit again as Teague felt the confidence to attempt screaming in, and attaining a more punk like sound to his music. He worked at writing music that was more fast paced, and tried to get a better scream out of is voice but vowed against using any technology to make his voice sound better. The name “Novedarahs” first came to Teague in April of 2006 when he took the names of two very influencial people in his life and mixed them together to create one. The name went through some changes including: Novedara, Novedarah, Novesdar and Novedares, but finally settled to “Novedarahs” with time. The first three Novedarahs songs “Good Riddance to High School Politics”, “Short and to the Point” and “Wasted Opportunity” were released online in a ZIP folder entitled “Novedarahs – 2006 Demo”. The demo was fairly well accepted by listeners, the majority favorite was “Good Riddance to High School Politics” but it was clear that Novedarahs still needed work. Teague continued to work at writing new songs and gaining confidence in his voice. The one piece band began having small shows at coffeehouses and basements of friends and put out a few more single tracks online. Currently Novedarahs is still Dan Teague; however Teague is looking to possibly expand to a three piece band by 2007. Novedarahs is recording the first full length entitled “Novedarahs – I like the Number 7” and is Due out August 12 of 2006. Lyrics too many of his songs (old and new) may be found on http://Songmeanings.net and some of the online releases may still be found on Lime wire.
