Gentle Giant

A British progressive rock band that was active for about a decade (1970 to 1980). The band's signatures were their complex and sophisticated musical compositions. Most the band members were multi-instrumentalists, with the first album "Gentle Giant" listing 46 instruments in the credits with them all played by only the band members.

The band never achieved any commercial success but did achieve a cult following, which is still strong today.

The band members changed a bit over the time. The founding members were:

Gary Green, Kerry Minnear, Derek Shulman, Phil Shulman, Ray Shulman and Martin Smith.

Other members include Malcolm Mortimore and John Weathers.
