General CommentI like some Anti-Flag stuff, especially "Punk by the Book," but uh...I don't like this one. They kind of forgot a few important details in this song, such as the overwhelming evidence that Mumia Abu-Jamal was guilty. He was NOT a political prisoner. That's equating him with an innocent victim and it's disgusting to say that. I'm by no means racist and I don't support the death penalty, but there is absolutely nothing to contradict the ruling that Mumia Abu-Jamal killed Daniel Faulkner (spelling?). His own brother was supposedly there and hasn't said a word about him being innocent. All his supporters say there's so much suppressed evidence, but they can't substantiate it. Come on, people! If there's so much evidence that this guy didn't really kill someone, let's see it! You've had your chance! I think Mumia should stay in jail and they should throw away the key. And I hope nobody thinks this is racist. I would feel the same way if Mumia Abu-Jamal were white, Asian, Arab, purple or polka-dotted, and no matter what race Danny Faulkner was.

General Commentor besides the evidance that suggjest or at least prsents resonable doubt that he is NOT guilty. he was a freedom fighter and they he gets put in jail so he can't speak out. Sounds kinda fishy to me.

General Commenti think that cops take their authority to far in thinking that they are ''big bad cops'' and they can get away with anything....just recently on the news i saw something about cops beating another man for on apparent reason....he didn't resist being taken under arrest but yet the threw him against the car and repeatedly hit his head against the hood of the car....i don't think thats fair

General Commentthis song is about the injustice of a man called mumia abu-jamal on death row in the states. he was convicted of killing a police officer that was abusing a black man in the states, but he is innocent. a hitman has confessed to the entire thing giving a series of events leading up to the death of the police officer, but the state refuses to take his confession into account. a prostitute saw what happened and the police basically told her "if u dont say mumia abu-jamal done this then we wil lbust for prostitution!"...go to mumia.org to find out more and to find out nwhat YOU can do.

General CommentAlright he shouldnt be in jail because he is not guilty. Heres some evidence to prove it too: 1.)Witnesses saw another person fleeing the seen. 2.) Witnesses also saw the fleeing man shoot the officer. 3.) Mumia's gun did not match the bullets found in the officer. Now he also wasnt allowed to defend himself. The Judge was a member of the fraternal order of police and sentenced 31 men to die more men than any other judge only 2 men were white. All but one juror was white. There are other things but i dont feel like typing them all.

General Commentquoth_the_raven you obviously havent looked at all the evidence. From your response i know you are very open minded but i'm still surprised that you havent heard the whole story. It apears that you have only heard what has been on most of the national news. However, i must note that the first time i heard mumia's story was on one of the newsmagazines (ie. 20/20, dateline) but i dont remember which one. the story they did on him led me to believe he was innocent and now i havent read a lot more about his case and i have no doubt in my mind that he is innocent. To begin with there are all the things th3n3w5up3rh3r0 mentioned. Plus another man has confessed to the murder as Maggot said. Mumia's so called confession was not mentioned until two months after it supposably happend. Two people were two testify for the defense and their testimony would have probably caused the jury to rule not guilty but one witness backed out at the last minute due to threats and the other was killed before testifying.
