"The Last Thing You Should Do" as written by and Reeves Gabrels David Bowie....
What are you doing to yourself
What are you doing to yourself
What are you doing to yourself
It's the last thing you should do

Nobody laughs anymore
Nobody laughs anymore
Nobody laughs anymore
It's the worst thing you can do

Save the last dance for me
Catch the last bus with me
Give the last kiss to me
It's the safest thing to do

General CommentI think this song is about a girlfriend who does drugs: "What have you been doing to yourself? It's the last thing you should do" Drugs could kill you. "Nobody laughs any more" The drugs have gone out of hand

Save the last dance for me
Catch the last bus with me
Give the last kiss to me
It's the safest thing to do-oh-oh-oh-oh

He's telling her that it would be better off doing something else.

    My opinion

General Commenti agree with scimitar, it's pretty straight forward. i love the 'catch the last bus with me' line. i can really relate to this song atm.
