Mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm
Mm, mm, mm, mm mm, mm, mm mm

Yeah, come on
Lovin' you has got to be (take me to the other side)
Like the Devil in the deep blue sea (take me to the other side)
Forget about your foolish pride (take me to the other side)
Oh, take me to the other side (take me to the other side)

My mama told me there'd be days like this
And man she wasn't foolin'
'Cause I just can't believe the way you kiss
You opened up your mouth with bated breath
You said you'd never leave me
You love me, you hate me, I tried to take the loss
You're cryin' me a river but I got to get across

Lovin' you has got to be (take me to the other side)
Like the Devil in the deep blue sea (take me to the other side)
Forget about your foolish pride (take me to the other side)
Oh take me to the other side (take me to the other side)

I'm lookin' for another kind of love
Oh lordy, how I need it
The kind that likes to leap without a shove
Oh honey, best believe it
To save a lot of time and foolish pride
I'll say what's on my mind, girl
You love me, you hate me, you cut me down to size
You blinded me with love and, yeah, it opened up my eyes

Lovin' you has got to be (take me to the other side)
Like the Devil in the deep blue sea (take me to the other side)
My conscience got to be my guide (take me to the other side)
Oh honey, take me, take me, take, take, take, take

Take me to the other side
I'm lookin' for another kind of love
Oh, lordy, how I need it
The kind that likes to leap without a shove
Honey, you best believe it
Now, I ain't one for saying long goodbyes
I hope all is forgiven
You loved me, you hate me, I used to be your lover
You know you had it coming, girl
So take me to the other (side)

(Take me to the other side)
(Take me to the other side)
Lovin' you has got to be (take me to the other side)
Like the Devil in the deep blue sea (take me to the other side)
My conscience got to be my guide (take me to the other side)
Oh honey, take me to the other side (take me to the other side)

Lovin' you has got to be (take me to the other side)
Like the Devil in the deep blue sea (take me to the other side)
Forget about your foolish pride (take me to the other side)
Honey, take me, take me, take me, take me
Take me to the other side, take me to the other side
(Take me to the other side)
Take me to, take me to (take me to the other side)
(Take me to the other side)
Take me to
Lovin' you has got to be (take me to the other side)
Like the Devil in the deep blue sea (take me to the other side)
My conscience got to be my guide (take me to the other side)

The power in this song is unbelievable. The beat is just so powerful and pummels through the song so perfectly. The guitar solo is amazing, the hook is amazing... well... the whole song is amazing.

I agree with what The Soul said about this song. This song has not gotten old to me, perhaps because it's underplayed! This song got attention when it came out and then was forgotten-about in the minds of most people, why?

The song seems to be about a relationship that is testing his patience. This woman takes him through a rollercoaster relationship. I think he's trying to decide whether to stay with her, but I have no idea what he means by "take me to the other side." Anyone have any ideas?

This song is about a relationship between a guy and a girl (wow, like that's never been done before...)

What probably has NOT been done before is using the "other side" for something other than heaven.

The 2 people are having some relationship troubles. "You're cryin' me a river but I got to get across " describes how the girl is putting up an emoitional wall and closing him out. He wants to get past her "wall" and reconcile with her. Hence he must get to the "other side" of her river of tears, or 'wall'.

This song, in my opinion, is not about drugs or sex. It's about about a couple who is splitting up, because the guy is tired of how the woman is acting. He clearly states that he wants to be in a relationship that guides itself and is not so hard and with a woman who is not all about the dramatics. This is a great Aerosmith song and is totally under-appreciated. Side note: Steven Tyler is the sexiest man alive. haha!

This is my all time favorite song and has been for seems like over 5 years. The way I relate to it is with drugs, take me to the other side - take me out of what I am feeling, give me some dope and soon i'm on the other side. Mama told me I'd have days like these-------so, please take me to the other side. Relationships - always - you hate - you love me

    Great dart-throwing song!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
