They open my window...in comes the light,
I froze in the corner...I pray for the night,
But if it's you my dear who turns on the light,
I'll eat from your hands as a bird with no fear no no,
fear.

Because I adore you,
I adore you,
I adore you,
I adore you.

Rise up my dark star...face into the night,
Come out of your corner..shine for the night,
if it's you my love who turns on the light,
I'll eat from your hands as a bird with no fear no no,
fear.

Because I adore you,
I adore you,
I adore you,
I adore you,
I adore you,
I adore you.

Climb out of the shadows...crawl into the night,
Fall out of the window...die to the night,
if it's you my love who turns on the light,
I'll eat from your hands as a bird with no fear no no,
fear.

Because I adore you...

Katie Jane has an amazing voice. It makes this song hauntingly beautiful. Such a pretty song.

the love song of the Taxidermy album, I Adore You. definantly not like other "lovesongs". its so odd because i get all of these mental images of things happening when i hear the song but i don't know how to describe the emotion of it in words. its a lot like being scarred in a way, and keeping away, or being confined. and then "the one" comes and casts light into shadows. yes, thats about how it is. :)

You'll be glad to know I dont have any morbid interpretations of this one!!! It's just to me, a beautiful, haunting, love song. Being healed by that special someone. And I agree with JulieMarlene, she hasa gorgeous voice, in fact she's just gorgeous. I'm more than a little obsessed...

I think this is one of the most beautiful songs off the album. Such a nice love song, it reminds me of someone special anyway sigh

The background noises when shes singing 'I adore you' is what I personally think makes it a little haunting. Heh, but thats just me.

This is gorgeous...Katie Jane is beautiful. I am reluctant to say that this song is as simple and as black and white as "a lovesong" but I think she is just saying that sometimes people are truly horrible, the world is corrupted and full of evil as all of us well know. When it feels like there is no purpose you seek your purpose in other people and when you find someone that truly cares and that you truly adore you have found your purpose and it makes everything seem alright again.

So true... I hate people and the things they do sometimes... then again I constantly feel like I need someone to adore... to feel close to... and to just give me a purpose I guess. Katie Jane has a beautiful way of putting things.

--Some one really needs to add lyrics to "Siamese Almeida" and "Kitty Collar".--

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
