"Pretty Like Drugs" as written by Katrina Jane Garside, Crispin John Orion Gray and Orson Wajih....
In vein, I seek farther, the needle closer, the little end

The world is watching as I take my last breath
The world is watching as I get undressed
Coz I'm pretty like drugs

The world is watching as my wings unfurl
The world is watching the death of a girl
Coz I'm pretty like drugs

I load the gun and I'm out of the world, and I take it harder, coz oh
Pretty oh
Pretty like drugs
I load the gun

The world is watching with a pregnant pause
The world is watching as I fuck to applause
The world is watching as I plant the last seed
The world is watching me watching tv
Coz I'm pretty like drugs

I load the gun
I wax and wane
Subject all of my pain
Onto you baby
Coz I'm pretty like drugs

General CommentThis song makes me think about how QA fans become obsessed just on Katie and how they love her but she's not always good for them, because she's often not good for herself. Just my thoughts though

General CommentAt first thought t was how tv makes so many documaentaries about teenage pregnancy and abortion to make the general public feel better.
But now i think it is about drugs and a overdoes. and how no one stops to help, we all just watch as people's lives are destrayed cos no one wants to risk them selves. We just thank its not us and make our selves feel better. Greatimagry in the song. SAnd i'm totally wrong, but no one else has put forward anything :p

General Commentyeah i think its about an overdose.
'I load the gun and I'm out of the world'- the gun being the needle or pipe or whatever.
'In vein, I seek farther, the needle closer, the little.. end.'- this is also about injecting, maybe shes testing her limits.

General CommentThis song could be about drugs, overdoses etc however I think it is simply taking the metaphor of an overdose to talk about how people are trapped and persecuted in society..."The world is watching..." - you are constantly under pressure to do as other people expect, to meet up to their expecations. I think Katie Jane is adressing stereotyping and saying that people hold too many prejudices and are too judgemental. They don't understand what they do to people when they pressure them into being something they don't feel comfortable with eg. the world is watching as I take my last breath. Ultimately this pressure can end in mental or physical death. I think Katie Jane is saying that being "pretty like drugs" is maybe popular release but in the end it will kill you in some form. Dangerous living...

General Commentit also puts me in mind of people like Jordan who gave birth live to a webcam....the ultimate in selling your soul. i mean, the baby could have been stillborn (for example) and millions of people would bear witness to her and the baby's suffering.

General CommentI think it's just about fame catching up to you. Realizing that when people notice you in public and want your autograph it becomes insane. Just things that fame do to you. constantly feeling like you're being watched and trying to not make the wrong move. Walking on eggshells.
