There's nothing new
In this sad story
The slaughter of innocence
Without glory
At the foot of your hill
Without warning
The centre of operations
They attack in the morning

Now you can lie
Like a lame before them
You can dance in the dawn
You can even ignore them
But with your skin on file
There's no escape
P.C. Keen's got the snap shots
And he knows your face

And the press will declare
That you're all mad and insane
And you'll be accused
Of not playing the game

You'll stand in the court
And declare your bravery
For fighting all this
That brings us all slavery
But they won't even see you
hey won't even hear you
Because you are the truth
So nothing can save you

And the southern intelligence unit will say:
'Thanks to you P.C. Keen
You've saved the day'

This is a song about a bent (in the non-homosexual sense) policeman called P.C Keen who i can't sum up in one word because abusive/offensive language is forbidden here. Generally is implieshow corrupt and unfair the criminal justice system is and no innocent people should submit to it.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
