Baby hair with a woman's eyes
I can feel you watching in the night
All alone with me and we're waiting for the sunlight

When I feel cold, you warm me
And when I feel I can't go on
You come and hold me
It's you and me forever

Sara, smile
Oh, won't you smile awhile for me, Sara

If you feel like leaving, you know you can go
But why don't you stay until tomorrow?
If you wanna be free
You know all you got to do is say so

And when you feel cold, I'll warm you
And when you feel you can't go on
I'll come and hold you
It's you and me forever

Sara, smile
Oh, won't you smile awhile for me, Sara
Sara, smile
Oh, won't you smile awhile, Sara

Smile
Oh, won't you smile awhile for me, Sara
Oh, smile awhile
Won't you laugh, Sara
So thank you for making me, make me feel like a man
Not keeping me crazy, crazy
Smile awhile, oh

I was named after this song, too, rupptizzle! My dad loves this song, thus my name became Sara. :) Hall and Oats is awesome.

A SAD song? [Puzzled.] This tune makes me want to bone with a chick named Sara during a morning thunderstorm.

Oh come on, NO comments here? Beautiful song, with a great voice, this has to be one of Hall and Oates bests.

    • It's also on the movie Serendipity, pretty funny scene.

Beautiful song - Daryl Hall is one of the only white dudes who can sing blue-eyed soul (Robert Palmer also comes to mind...) It's fun to see so many Sara's named in honor of this song (I'll refrain from exploring the creepy angle). Does anyone know the biographical tale behind this? There's a "Sara Allen" who co-wrote a couple of H&O's songs. Is it the same Sara? Pray tell if you know.

Aw M-A-N! Right after I posted the above, I did a search, and found the answer to my own question in a nano-second. In Songfacts (awesome site as well - link below), we're told, A) Sara Allen is indeed Daryl Hall's girlfriend - for 28 YEARS!! They never married, and broke up in 2001. That's sucks as much as knowing that Sara had a sister, Janna, who co-wrote songs too with H&O (Kiss on My List being the biggest one - only one?), and SHE died in 1993 of leukemia. That made me all cheerful for the afternoon. Sortir les rasoirs!

But you can't say the internet isn't powerful. Thanks, Al!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
