So you've been knocked and you've been thrown
And you've run all the way back home
Saying you were searching for a reason
And you cried years so much before
You won't cry much anymore
Roll with the punches
Gonna leave it all behind
These highway signs are
A sign of the time

If you wanna spin
Get yourself back in the game again
Throw down your money
Maybe you could win
But this world won't stop
So never stop, just spin

I've been there once or twice before
Destiny knocking at my door
But destiny only seemed to erase
The happiness once where the ruins replaced

And you said this world treated you cruel
Played with your head, then played you the fool
Leave it all behind, don't let it get you down
If anything, you can be a clown

If you wanna spin
Get yourself back in the game again
Throw down your money
Maybe you could win
But this world won't stop
So never stop, just spin

And this place is cold
And you're feeling older now
And your body hangs
And you fear you won't get out
Suck it up, breathe it deep
Wake up from this creeping sleep
Turn around and around and around and around
Yeah, just spin

If you wanna spin
Get yourself back in the game again
Throw down your money
Maybe you could win
But this world won't stop
So never stop, just spin

This is the reason I love SoCo so much - their lyrics. Their songs are so full of feeling, and they're wonderful pieces of music on their own, but their lyrics are pieces in themselves. This song in particular, I think it's so interesting how he ends the first chorus with 'this world won't stop, so never stop, just spin.' It's almost like a pun - the world keeps spinning, it doesn't stop, so don't you stop either; go with the world. To me, it's talking to a friend or someone else who's going through a really hard time in their life, and telling them to keep at it, not to give up, because 'maybe you could win,' (you still have a shot at having a good life, no matter what bad things have happened to you). Just my 2/100 of a dollar, ^_^.

This is my favorite SoCo song (and you know you all want to kill me cause it's not Konstantine!) but the lyrics have helped me so many times when I just wanted to give up at something. SoCo is awesome.

This song just reminds me of the bad experiences that circle us in life, like maybe a relationship that you know should end..and not necessarily so you can be with one of the people in it, but so one of them will be brought back to the other side and less restricted. Kinda like life I suppose..

This is my favorite SC song. It just has such a great meaning to it. "If you wanna spin get yourself back in the game again throw down your money maybe you could win but this world won't stop so never stop, just spin." You only live once why not take risks. I loved it!

"But this world won't stop, so never stop, just spin." That line right there. This song is so incredible. Whenever I get down and just feel like wallowing in my self pity or whatever, I just listen to this song and realize that the world's not going to end over whatever is wrong in my life. The sun will still come up tomorrow, the world will keep on spinning, so I will too.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
