Sleep on and dream of love
Because it's the closest you will
Get to love
Poor twisted child
So ugly, so ugly
Poor twisted child
Oh hug me, oh hug me
One November
Spawned a monster
In the shape of this child
Who later cried :

But Jesus made me, so
Jesus save me from
Pity, sympathy
And people discussing me
A frame of useless limbs
What can make good
All the bad that's been done ?

And if the lights were out
Could you even bear
To kiss her full on the mouth
(or anywhere?)

Oh, poor twisted child
So ugly, so ugly
Poor twisted child
Oh hug me, oh hug me
One November
Spawned a monster
In the shape of this child
Who must remain
A hostage to kindness
And the wheels underneath her
A hostage to kindness
And the wheels underneath her

A symbol of where mad, mad lovers
Must pause and draw the line.
So sleep and dream of love
Because it's the closest
You will get to love
That November
Is a time
Which I must
Put out of my mind

Oh, one fine day
Let it be soon
She won't be rich or beautiful
But she'll be walking your streets
In the clothes that she went out
And chose for herself.

Sleep on and dream of Love Because it's the closest you will Get to love -this girl that he is talking about will never be loved because she is not what society wants her to be and shes not beautiful..well this song ive heard is talking about a crippled girl from massachusetts(wrong spelling)

Poor twisted child So ugly, so ugly Poor twisted child Oh hug me, oh hug me- once again this girl is not what society lovesand by society i mean the media

One November Spawned a monster In the shape of this child - monster under society's eyes well she was born in november

    Who later cried :

"But Jesus made me, so Jesus save me from pity, sympathy And people discussing me"- why would "god" make me and life in general this way if god really cared y would he put me in this misery??? or anyone as a matter of fact

A frame of useless limbs What can make GOOD All the BAD that's been done ? - this "person" is handycap but arent we all in some way??yeah this iswhat i think morrissey was using as symbolism the uslelimbs are problems in life and all the misery

And if the lights were out Could you even bear To kiss her full on the mouth (Or anywhere?)- hmm im not too sure how to explain how i feel about this line umm i dunno ill write it in later when i figure out how to say it

Oh, poor twisted child So ugly, so ugly Poor twisted child Oh hug me, oh hug me One November Spawned a monster In the shape of this child - like i said b4

Who must remain A hostage to kindness And the wheels underneath her A hostage to kindness And the wheels underneath her - for this girl her handicap was a wheel chair but for other ppl like myself "handicap" is just basicly everything (life)

A symbol of where mad, mad lovers Must PAUSE and draw the line. -SEX is the reason for this end resutl(life)

So sleep and dream of love Because it's the closest You will get to love - noone will ever love this "monster" who is human just like evryone else

That November Is a time Which I must Put OUT of my mind - this girl was born in november

Oh, one fine day Let it be soon She won't be rich or beautiful But she'll be walking your streets In the clothes that she went out And chose for herself. - hmmm not really sure what to say about this verse

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
