missme what was so wrong with your comment? It's dead on! I think she's sending a message to her ex, Spicoli...

    My Opinion

"All by myself / I don't need anyone at all / I know I'll survive / I know I'll stay alive / All on my own / I don't need anyone this time / It will be mine / No one can take it from me /You'll see" So beautiful, sad and haunting, the chorus can really be applied to many situations although it's clear what this song is about.

    My Interpretation

In Sad Ciccone ballad You'll See, Madonna is Crying, Sad and in Tears about love that isn't hers anymore. She lost Sean and Guy because she loved them too much! No wonder Madonna is Sad!

"You dumped me, think I've got nothing, But actually, I'm not stronger; FUCK YOU." -> overall message, and a fantastic one.

This song is about an ex who dumped her and he thought she would never recover. He's wrong.

Nothing's wrong with my comment, I guess I just wrote it when I was feeling like she does in the song so it meant more for me and I got quite angsty, heh. But yeah, the meaning's pretty clear, and I love the song.

Um, also, clearly I meant "I am stronger" not "I am not stronger"...heh. I kind of like how it sounds slightly like "All By Myself" as in the sad depressing Jamie Neal song, and yet it's positive and defiant. Yay Madonna!

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
