One, two, three
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Oh yeah

You gave me something like loving
And took me in so soon
You took my feelings from nothing
Came back at noon
And just meet me, I'm ready
To show myself to you

So if I lose my patience
You must try to understand (try to understand)
And if I lose my patience, oh yeah

'Cause you make me feel
'Cause you make me feel wild
You touch my inner smile
You got me in the mood
So come on and make your move and free me

You make my wishes as much as
Your kisses make me blue
If I'm a river, where will you escape away to?
But maybe I'm ready, I'm falling into you

So if I lose my patience
You must try to understand (try to understand)
And if I lose my patience, oh yeah

'Cause you make me feel
'Cause you make me feel wild
You touch my inner smile
You got me in the mood
So come on and make your move and free me
(Free me, free me)

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, yeah, yeah

'Cause you make me feel
'Cause you make me feel wild
You touch my inner smile
You got me in the mood
So come on and make your move
And touch my inner smile
Come get my inner smile
Smile, smile, yeah, yeah

Sometimes I need to be alone (yeah)
There's times I need for you to phone (ooh, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Sometimes you make me feel so high
There's times I ask myself why
Sometimes I need to be alone

joiedevivre, I agree with you - I think she's talking specifically about sex, not just love in general: The rhythmic "yeah, yeah, yeah"s; "you make me feel wild"; "if I loose my patience, please try to understand".

This song always makes me think of Harold Shipman, though ( a doctor / serial killer - see bbc.co.uk/crime/caseclosed/shipman.shtml ) - "if I loose my PATIENTS, please try to understand"!

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
