Wishmaster Lyrics
Apprentice!
Heartborne, Seventh Seeker
Warrior!
Disciple!
In me the Wishmaster
Elbereth
Lorien
A dreamy-eye child staring into night
On a journey to storyteller's mind
Whispers a wish
Speaks with the stars
The words are silent in him
Distant sigh from a lonely heart
"I'll be with you soon, my Shalafi"
Grey Havens, my destiny
Master!
Silvara
Starbreeze
Sla-Mori the one known only by Him
To august realms, the sorcery within
If you hear the call of arcane lore
Your world shall rest on Earth no more
A maiden elf calling with her cunning song
"Meet me at the Inn of Last Home"
Heartborne will find the way
Master!
Wishmaster
Crusade for your will
A child, dreamfinder
The Apprentice becoming
Master!
A lot of this song is references to the Dragonlance novels.
Master! Apprentice!
Could easily refer to Dalamar and Raistlyn, who are also mentioned later in the song.
"I'll be with you soon, my Shalafi"
Okay, there's no way you can have read the books and NOT know what that means. 'Shalafi' is Silnaesti elven for master/teacher, basically the same thing as 'sensei.' It's what Dalamar calls Raistlyn.
Silvara Starbreeze
Silvara the silver dragon and Alhanna Starbreeze.... sound familiar to anyone?
Sla-Mori the one known only by Him To august realms, the sorcery within If you hear the call of arcane lore, your world shall rest on Earth no more
The Sla-Mori, the 'secret way.' The companions used a Sla-Mori in the Chronicals. Presumably there are more than one in the world.
A maiden elf calling with her cunning song "Meet me at the Inn of last home" Heartborne will find the way
The Inn of the Last Home is in Solace, where the Companions met and drank.
(Noooo.... I haven't read those books WAY too many times...)
This song is about DragonLance and Lord of the Rings. Master = Raislin Majere Disciple = Dalamar, Raistlin's apprentice Elbereth = Is a Valar(a "god" in Middle-Earth's mithology), named Varda, creator of the Earth. Lorien = A magical forest of the elves in Middle-Earth. Shalafi = Raistlin Grey Havens = The last port of the elves in Middle-Earth Silvara = A silver dragon in the world of DragonLance Starbreeze = She is an elven princess in DragonLance 7th. Seeker = Tanis Half-Elven
This song refers to concepts from the 'Silmarillion', the history of middle earth. I think it's about a journey, probably to the Grey Havens, the undying lands where the elves go. "Master! Apprentice! Heartborne, 7th. seeker Warrior! Disciple! In me the Wishmaster" I think the above section is about someone with great potential to be everything - both a master and apprentice, a warrior etc. This person is at the destination. That's all I can say...since I haven't actually read the whole book...if you want to better interpret this song then read the book and it may help. PS I am sorry if this sucked, I just though I should write something here since there's nothing else about the meaning of the song.
Tuomas on this song: "This is my personal tribute to fantasy, especially the closest to me; Tolkien & Dragonlance. These worlds have become a sort of inverted reality for me, where the story of "The Kinslayer" can't become reality... Moreover, I don't believe in this thing called "destiny". We are the masters of our own wishes, beliefs and dreams. Whatever you desire enough, it can happen. Destiny is an excuse for those who don't have the strength to fulfil their wishes. Everything is possible. Even the impossible."
I agree with him.............
I agree with him.............
Yes, it seems to be mostly Dragonlance with some Tolkien thrown in at random points "Elbereth, Lorien, Grey Havens"
Reminds me of Kingdom Hearts and its Seven Guardians:
Master - Aqua
Apprentice - Sora
Heartborne - Kairi
7th Seeker - Lea
Warrior - Riku
Disciple - Ventus
Wishmaster - Mickey
If someone took enough time to listen to this entire song, it's a real power song. By the time it's over, you just wanna get up and go and really feel like you can take over the world. ^^;
Yeah i know what you mean, I wish i knew what Heartborne and 7th Seeker mean though :(
