Ah ah ah ah
Ah
I was fine before I met you
I was broken but fine
I was lost and uncertain
But my heart was still mine
I was free before I met you
I was broken but free
All alone in the clear view, but now you are all I see

Hey, wait a minute
No, you can't do this to me
Wait a minute
No, that's not fair
Hey, wait a minute
You're on me like jewelry
I really like you, but I'm so scared

Ooh, why'd you have to go and make me like you?
Yeah this is a feeling I'm not used to (ooh)
Why'd you have to go and make me like you?
I'm so mad at you 'cause now you got me missing you
Ah ah ah ah
Ah
'Cause now you got me missing you

Something I could get used to
I could get used to this
It's getting harder to leave it
Your lips on my lips
Oh, I can't believe it
How good it could be
Didn't wanna believe it, but now you are all I see

Hey, wait a minute
No, you can't do this to me
Wait a minute
No, that's not fair
Hey, wait a minute
You're on me like jewelry
I really like you, but I'm so scared

Ooh, why'd you have to go and make me like you?
Yeah this is a feeling I'm not used to (ooh)
Why'd you have to go and make me like you?
I'm so mad at you 'cause now you got me missing you
Why'd you have to go and make me like you?
Yeah this is a feeling I'm not used to (ooh)
Why'd you have to go and make me like you?
I'm so mad at you 'cause now you got me missing you

Oh God, thank God that I found you
Oh God, cause now you got me missing you
Oh God, thank God that I found you
I'm so mad at you 'cause now you got me missing you
Thank God
Thank God that I found you, oh
Now you got me missing you
Now you got me missing you

Why'd you have to go and make me like you?
Yeah this is a feeling I'm not used to (I'm not used to)
Why'd you have to go and make me like you? (like you)
I'm so mad at you 'cause now you got me missing you (ooh, oh yeah)
Why'd you have to go and make me like you? (why'd you got to do it)
Yeah this is a feeling I'm not used to (used to)
Why'd you have to go and make me like you?
I'm so mad at you 'cause now you got me missing you

Oh God, thank God that I found you
Oh God, 'cause now you got me missing you
Oh God, thank God that I found you
I'm so mad at you 'cause now you got me missing you

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
