I've been lost before and I'm lost again I guess
But I never lost this feeling or this pounding in my chest
I have traveled many miles, I don't wanna walk no more
Every road and every highway led me right back to your door

Love me like you used to
And I'll praise you like I should
Love me if you choose to
Though you say that I'm no good
I dream most every night that I never left you

Do you love me anymore?
Does my memory remain
Lord I know I've made mistakes but I am different now, I've changed
When I open up the door will you know me from the rest?
Will you let me lay beside you?
Will you grant me my request?

Love me like you used to
And I'll praise you like I should
Love me if you choose to
Though you say that I'm no good

I swear this time around I'm gonna stay
When I dream, I only dream of you
I curse the goddamn day that I went and left you

Love me like you used to
And I'll praise you like I should
Love me if you choose to
Though you say that I'm no good

Love me like you used to
And I'll praise you like I should
I don't want to lose ya
I would change it if I could
I can't erase the day that I went and left you

Man, I love this song. Lord Huron has so many great songs.

My thoughts about this song is that he's in a toxic relationship, and he loves her but she doesn't love him or never really did." Yes I know that love is like ghosts Oh, few have seen it, but everybody talks" He feels like only a few has truly witness love while everybody talks about being in love.

"Spirits follow everywhere I go Oh they sing all day and they haunt me in the night Oh they sing all day and they haunt me in the night" The next lyrics I think are about him hearing all of these people being in love and are happy. It haunts him that he isn't.

The next lyrics are about him wanting to know what went wrong. Love is Like Ghost, basically some people believe in it while others don't. She hasn't left him yet but he knows its going to happen sooner or later.

Yes I know that love is like ghosts Oh, and what ain't living can never really die You don't want me baby please don't lie Oh but if you're leaving, I gotta know why

I think the next part saying she won't ever find true love that he has for her. She will be a ghost to love even though he will always love her.

Yes I know that love is like ghosts Oh and the moonlight baby shows you whats real There ain't a language for the things I feel And if I can't have you then no one ever will Oh, if I can't have you then no one ever will

I think the last part of the song, he wants to stay with her and is okay with her not loving him as much. He wants it to be a "Endless Song", and by that I think he's referring to loving each other forever. If she does leave him, he will always love her and he becomes a ghost to love.

I don't feel it till it hurts sometimes Oh go on baby, hurt me tonight I want ours to be an endless song Baby in my eyes you do no wrong I don't feel it till it hurts sometimes So go on baby hurt me tonight All the spirits that I know I saw Do you see no ghost in me at all Oh I sing all day and I love you through the night

    My Opinion

This is such a grest song for so many reason's. I did not usually listen to this type of music but since a few months I have been obsesed. I chose this song for a prodject in shcool. I can not relate to the learics but I know many people who can. For me the song is about the singer who is in love with a girl but she doesn't like him back or never really loved him. This is a common feeling since I guess it is easy to fall in love but sometimes it is just not with the right person.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
