Until your breathing stops, stops, stops
Until your breathing stops, stops, stops
Until your-your-your-your, forever, forever

I need more dreams
And less life
And I need that dark
In a little more light
I cried tears you'll never see
So fuck you, you can go cry me an ocean
And leave me be

You are what you love
Not who loves you
In a world full of the word yes
I'm here to scream

No, no
Wherever I go, go
Trouble seems to follow
I only plugged in to save rock and roll, rock and roll

No, no
Wherever I go, go
Trouble seems to follow
I only plugged in to save rock and roll

Until your breathing stops, stops, stops
Until your breathing stops, stops, stops
Until your-your-your-your, forever, forever

Blood brothers in desperation
An oath of silence
For the voice of our generation

Whoa
How'd it get to be only me?
Like I'm the last damn kid still kicking
That still believes

I will defend the faith
Going down swinging
I will save the songs
That we can't stop singing

No, no
Wherever I go, go
Trouble seems to follow
I only plugged in to save rock and roll, rock and roll

No, no
Wherever I go, go
Trouble seems to follow
I only plugged in to save rock and roll

Oh no, we won't go
'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no
Oh no, we won't go
'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no

Oh no, we won't go
'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no
Oh no, we won't go
'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no

You are what you love
Not who loves you
In a world full of the word yes
I'm here to scream

No, no
Wherever I go, go
Trouble seems to follow
I only plugged in to save rock and roll, rock and roll

No, no
Wherever I go, go
Trouble seems to follow
I only plugged in to save rock and roll

Oh no, we won't go
'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no
Oh no, we won't go
'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no

Oh no, we won't go
'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no
Oh no, we won't go
'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no

Oh no, we won't go
'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no
Oh no, we won't go
'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no

Guys, this song is for the fans that are saying that they're "selling out."

"So fuck you, you can go cry me an ocean And leave me be"

This is directly being sang for those fans. He's saying, "You think we're changing? You can cry all you want. This is how we are now. Accept it or leave us alone."

"You are what you love Not who loves you"

This means that they're doing what they want to do, and they're happy doing it. They don't care about what the fans are saying.

"Wherever I go, go Trouble seems to follow"

This is again referring to how the fans think they're selling out. How they're finally back, but people still aren't satisfied with them.

"I only plugged in to save rock and roll, rock and roll"

The title of the album is sarcastic. They know this isn't rock and roll. It's just implying that they've changed. So, this is sort of saying that they're going to stay like this - far from rock and roll.

"Oh no, we won't go 'Cause we don't know how to quit, no, no"

Finally, this is saying that they are going to continue making music, because they "don't know how to quit." You can interpret that any way you want to.

That's just my interpretation though. I could be wrong, of course.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
