The UK's been a melting pot since pre-1066
All ethnicities and cultures somewhere in the mix
Regardless of your age, your creed, ability or health
We're all in it together, unless you've got the wealth
From the Channel coast up to Berwick-upon-Tweed
The largest UK nation gives you everything you need
Weather, drama, theatre, the city or the beach
A rail replacement bus puts it well within your reach
This England
It's not too bad
This England
It's pretty sad
This England
Has its spirit drained
And every day it rained
Smoky days in winter then the crispness of the night
Halogen street lamps shed an eerie orange light
Puddles run to rivers flowing down into the sea
Tourists find it fascinating, all that history
Humidity and sunshine and the endless summer eves
Giving way to autumn and the changing of the leaves
The sights and smells and sounds of a living, breathing dream
As special as a mote of dust caught in a moon beam
This England
It's not too bad
This England
It's pretty sad
This England
Has its spirit drained
And every day it rained
This England
This England
This England
And then of course this country isn't quite without its shite
Rising rabble riling up extremists on the right
And indeed if we don't take it that seriously
We could end up losing rights and our democracy
But then again, the struggle is as ancient as the hills
Conservatives have always blamed the left for all our ills
Let's be clear that we're not going down without a fight
It's an eternal struggle, bringing sadness to our plight
This England
It's not too bad
This England
It's pretty sad
This England
Has its spirit drained
And every day it rained
This England
This England
This England

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
