I'll never change not for no one
I run my mouth way too much baby
What can I say I'm my mother's son
Her blood runs thick in my veins
But the ladies come and go
Yeah
Like the seasons change
Nothing stays the same
And I've been on this road for far too long
I start to drift and lose control
Of this void that's in my soul
Oh I know
Yes I know
It's got me
Dreaming
Chasing a feeling
And you know
I've got no plans to clean the mess I've made
I feel like wasting all my time
Drifting into space
Acting too young for my age
And that's alright
I feel like wasting all my time
Doing what I want
Living a life without love
And that's alright
And that's alright by me
I didn't choose this life
One where I'm not afraid of what's inside
I've never felt so right
About who I am and what I like
I don't
toss and turn I just
Count sheep
I never lose my head whenever grown folks speak
I hold in the highest regard
A gentelmen and a scholar
Standing ovation applause
Life's not the same whenever you're lost
I must be dreaming
Chasing a feeling
Now I know
How to clean up the mess I've made
I feel like wasting all my time
Drifting into space
Acting too young for my age
And that's alright
I feel like wasting all my time
Doing what I want
Living a life without love
And that's alright
You never step into the light
And show me who's inside
You made me how I am
Not who I am
And I'm proud to be
The man I've become
Raised by the wolves
The ones that I love
I feel like wasting all my time
Doing what I want
Living a life without love
And that's alright
I feel like wasting all my time
Drifting into space
Acting too young for my age
And that's alright
I feel like wasting all my time
Doing what I want
Living a life without love
And that's alright

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
