You like that, huh?
Remember me (let's get rowdy)
(Let's ride) Yeah, yeah
Yo, Montell when you walk baby girl to the lobby, uh
Tell the bellman I need some more towels up here
When you see shorty
The one that's sittin' on them 20's
Tell 'em in 504 if she's still bobbin', you heard?
Let's get rowdy, let's get rowdy
You know Montell's 'bout it 'bout it
Master P's 'bout it 'bout it
Lookie here

Stepped in the club, after my show
You know the spot, where everybody's on the low low (let's get rowdy)
That's when I saw her, she saw me
She told me she liked Master P and Montell occasionally
So I laid back, put a fifty in my mouth
Said I wanna see you shake it girl
'Cause that's what that 'bout it, 'bout it's 'bout (let's get rowdy)
All my niggas in the club was jealous of me
'Cause I waited for it, I stayed for
And I'm damn near 'bout to pay for it
So

Let's ride (let's get rowdy)
All night (let's get rowdy)
I don't doubt it (let's get rowdy)
Your love is 'bout it, 'bout it (let's get rowdy)
And I'm so excited (let's get rowdy, so excited girl)
Girl I wanna ride it (let's get rowdy)
Girl I wanna ride (let's get rowdy)
Let's ride
Tonight
Can't do without it
Your love is 'bout it, 'bout it (let's get rowdy)
And I want tonight
And I'm 'bout it, 'bout it baby (let's get rowdy)
Girl I wanna ride it (let's get rowdy)

Now baby was more than incredible, she did her thing
5'5" 146, wearing nothing but a G-string
Her chocolate lips and, sexy thighs
Sittin' properly up on top of me
She's ridin' and never ain't no stoppin' me now
She bounced fast, then rocked slow
Like she's auditioning to kick it in my video
There ain't no limit, to what she'd do
I'm listening, she's whispering
Her girl wanna ride me too

Let's ride (yes she do)
All night (let's get rowdy)
I don't doubt it (let's get rowdy)
Your love is 'bout it, 'bout it (let's get rowdy)
And I'm so excited (let's get rowdy)
Said I'm so excited (let's get rowdy)
But girl I wanna ride it (let's get rowdy)
Baby won't you let me ride (let's get rowdy)
Let's ride (let's get rowdy)
Wanna slap them thighs (let's get rowdy)
Can't do without it
Your love is 'bout it, 'bout it (let's get rowdy)
And I want tonight (let's get rowdy)
Baby yeah (let's get rowdy)
Girl I wanna ride it (let's get rowdy)
Listen baby

She's moving up and down and 'round and 'round tonight
Moving up and down and around and around
She's moving up and down and 'round and 'round, let's ride
Ooh baby, ain't nothin' like the real thing, can't you see

See us Soldiers do it wild, I could make you smile
Make my nine go pow, put on your boots, let's run some miles
Camouflage on them sheets, make that headboard squeak
Up and down 'til you weak, cause us thugs like to freak
68'll be my code, if you 'bout it girl let's roll
I told you wasn't no limit 'cause tonight, anything goes

Anything goes, let's roll, lemme help you take up off your clothes
Give me a preview before and the rest after the show
Thug love mixed with cream, Hennessy, strawberries, and Moet
Champagne, mo' in bath hop in the hot tub, drop my foot off on oriental rugs
Can't get enough, you on top of me, me on top of you
Do what you want to this thug, girl ain't no stoppin' you

Let's ride (let's get rowdy)
Tonight (let's get rowdy)
Can't do without it (let's get rowdy)
Your love is 'bout it, 'bout it (let's get rowdy)
And I won't deny it (won't deny)
Girl I wanna ride it

(She's moving up and down, and 'round and 'round tonight)
Let's ride, all night
I don't doubt it
Your love is 'bout it 'bout it
And I'm so excited
Girl, I wanna ride it

(She's moving up and down, and 'round and 'round tonight)
Let's ride
Tonight
Can't do without it
Your love is 'bout it 'bout it
And I won't deny it
Girl, I wanna ride it

Coming back to this motherfucker tomorrow
And I'm coming wit you (let's ride)
Me and Silkk, fool (all night)
I don't doubt it
Your love is 'bout it 'bout it
And I'm so excited (told y'all it wasn't no limit)
Girl, I wanna ride it

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

No Surprises

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
