It's been thirty seven days
Since you turned and walked away
Baby you were foolish
You were wrong
You should've made it better
You broke the promise you made
'Cause you were jealous and afraid
Baby I was rising
You let me down
We should've stood together
Now I can't breathe if I'm not breathing with you
I can't sleep if all I'm dreaming is you
Can't you see I've got no air without you
I can't breathe I can' breathe

So I cracked and called you today
And the tears froze on my face
'Cause you said we were over
You were so cold
We should've been forever
Now I can't breathe if I'm not breathing with you
I can't sleep if all I'm dreaming is you
Can't you see I've got no air without you
I can't breathe I can't breathe

We could have everything
But all we got is heartache and pain
I can't catch my breath
It's getting harder to speak
You should be proud of me
But you're too insecure and too vain
We should've been forever
I wanted you forever
Now I can't breathe if I'm not breathing with you
I can't sleep if all I'm dreaming is you
Can't you see I've got no air without you
I can't breathe I can't breathe

I see the song as being about a person who is hurt by the breakup with a lover and feels lost and heartbroken.

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
