You're calling her with rings of gold
Gold bleeding from the stars
It's pouring like jewels
Pouring from the moon
From her eyes
Cascading around your feet
It wraps inside your fingers

You feel it from the shining sun
The blinding shining sun
You feel it from the shining sun
It takes you an a journey across the stone
It's the oldest stone
You feel it damp beneath your feet
The dew on the grass it soothes your tired feet

From her eyes
Cascading around your feet
It wraps inside your fingers

You feel it from the shining sun
The blinding shining sun
You feel it from the shining sun
It takes you an a journey across the stone

You feel it damp beneath your feet
Like dew on the grass it soothes your tired feet

I don't want to put a downer on this beautiful song, but this reminds me of someone quite close to me dying.

I was listening to Planet Funk's album quite a lot around the time of their death and it always brings me right back to it.

It is indeed a mesmerising song though.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
