Be my mistake
Be my favourite place
As cold as your heart is
Here in themiddle
Stay another day
Stay another day

Pull back at the seam
Expose all I've seen
There's no need to hide it
There's no new surprises

And you ruin me with the easiest touch
Tear my world apart now enough is enough
I've been up most of the night
Now my heads like a train wreck
One more time

Let's all assume I'm going mad
And the truth it is
I'm an unstable man
Theres no way to reason
Noones on my side

Going back to the streets
Of illusions and dreams
Where things were so honest
Where we had out moments
Stay another day

And you ruin me with the easiest touch
Tear my world apart now enough is enough
I've been up most of the night
Now my head's like a train wreck
One more time

It's never as it seems
And this ain't gonna change
What difference does it make
To save your sanity
I've seen you on the street
I still don't know your name
The shadows on the wall
The pictures with the moving eyes
The ones who see it all
The ones who keep a note on you
I see you when we fall
When we meet our maker

Turn to the start
Forget who we are
It's here if you want it
There's no second chances
Stay another day
Stay another day

    My Interpretation

I dont know who or what Ian's talking to, exactly, but who or what ever it is, they're really fucking with his head. It reminds me of a toxic relationship one could have with a person or think ie vice

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
