Hänen laillaan me harhailemme, eksyneinä ja tiedä emme
minne katosi toiveet ylväät, kun vain onnettomuutta kylvää

Suuressa armossaan luoja teki meille maan,
poltettavakseen ja tuhottavakseen sai sen hyvä ihminen
Suuressa armossaan luoja teki meille maan,

Hänen laillaan me harhailemme, eksyneinä ja tiedä emme
minne katosi toiveet ylväät, kun vain onnettomuutta kylvää

Suuressa armossaan luoja teki meille maan,
poltettavakseen ja tuhottavakseen sai sen hyvä ihminen
Suuressa armossaan luoja teki meille maan,
poltettavakseen ja tuhottavakseen sai sen hyvä ihminen

In English: Song name: Good human

He's ashamed of that house, where everything began. He never thinks about his parents or the poverty, when he got away from there He draws wide lines, awakens fear in among many I'ts said that he has habit of sweeping problems away from his path

Looking from the cold screen, cold news reports Even though he organized it all years ago He doesn't feel a thing Power is increasing intoxication, A three cubit* god Awakens in him, if he trusts in it, and the trust will hold

Chorus: Like him we are wandering, lost and we don't know Where disappeared great hopes, as all we grow is misfortune

In his great glory, god gave us the world To burn, and to destroy got it, the good human In his great glory, god gave us the world To burn, and to destroy got it, the good human

On the streets riot brakes out, but it's just mosquito buzzing He calls from his hotel room a call girl and orders her to come by That second flying by he remembers his wife and kids But only this way he can feel something And time runs by...

    Chorus:

*Cubit is old unit of traditional measure of length used in Sweden and Finland

To me it seems like the song is about people, who have lost the ability to feel anything, and are at least somewhat self centered. and are in high position, (parlament, global business, etc) and are willing and able to use "any means necessary" to get what they want, But at the same time it's how humanity and the world overall is crumbling under different stresses, Wars, pollution etc.

People who actually have things rather well (western world as we know it) but we want to keep everything by ourlself, forgetting people who have it much worse (developing country's) and general pollution and ecological problems of the world itself.

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
