Excuse me for this
I just want a kiss
I just want to know what it feels like to touch
Something so pure
Something I'm so sure of
What it feels like to stand outside your door
I'm unworthy
I can see you're above me
But I can be lovely given the chance

Don't move
I want to remember you just like this
Don't move
It's only a breath or two between our lips

I know why you left
I can't blame you myself
Must be hard living with ghosts and such an empty shell
I tried to warn you
I've been a mess since you've known me
I can't promise forever
But I'm working on it
If I can't hold you
Can I give you a kiss

Can I have a kiss

I see that you're torn
I've got some scars of my own
Seems I want what I know is gonna leave me hungry

Don't move
I need to remember you just like this

I know why you left
I can't blame you myself
Must be hard living with ghosts and such an empty shell
I tried to warn you
I've been a mess since you've known me
I can't promise forever
But I'm working on it
If I can't hold you
Can I give you a kiss

Can I

All I have
All I can give to you I will
Just promise this
If I can't have forever
Can I have a kiss, kiss, kiss
No

I know why you left
I can't blame you myself
Must be hard living with ghosts and such an empty shell
I tried to warn you
I've been a mess since you've known me
I can't promise forever
But I'm working on it
If I can't hold you
Can I give you a kiss

Can I give you a kiss
Can I, can I
Can I have a kiss

she intends well but did something wrong in the past and now is pleading for the guy to, if not give her what they were before, at least a kiss.

I absolutely love this song! It has an incredible melody, and is instantly likable. The rest of the album is also amazing, but favors repeated listens.

I like the breathiness (wrd?) in the opening verse, and absolutely love the words in that same verse, but the rest is okay. The music in the chorus gets annoying, because it sounds like a skipping record, kind of.

The way she says "kiss" gets on my nerves. It's kind of corny, the way she's asking for a kiss, and sort of naive. But whatever. It's just the impression I got.

The album does grow on me, though. It'll just take a couple of visits to this site, and a few more listens, and I'll be liking the whole thing.

This part is what gets me:

I tried to warn you I’ve been a mess since you’ve known me I can’t promise forever But I’m working on it

This literally describes my whole being. I want to find my prince charming and live my happily ever after. But with the way my life has been, I find it hard to believe that it actually happens. Hence the "i've been a mess".

However, since I really want to believe that it can happen (and WILL happen) that's why I love the part "i can't promise forever, but i'm working on it"

It's SO real to me. She took the words right out of my mouth. I think everyone feels this way when they've been let down before (numerious times).

They were both head over heels in love

Now they are broken up and everythings changed she never knew it would ever happen to them

so shes confronting him and letting him know she realizes shes "unworthy" now

and is asking for a hookup just so she can remember him in a somewhat good way

    its so sad.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
