"Where does it Hurt" as written by Greg Johnston, Christopher William N Ward and Rob ...
Where does it hurt.
Tell me 'cause I understand the words of a heart.
Beating like winds in my hand.
We can hide.
We'll never lie.
I'll always see into you.

There's nothing wrong with coming up empty and cold.
Staying too long and try to change rocks into gold.

I've been there too.
I've wasted myself.
And you were there for me.
So whenever you crash, wherever you lay, that's where I'll be.

And for every endless midnight, there's a sky full of broken star.
And there'll always be a place for you, inside my arms.

Where does it hurt.
When you open your heart there's always so much to lose.
So far to fall and no where to go when it's true.

But if you let me in, I won't let you down. Put your faith in me.

'Cause whenever you crash, wherever you lay, that's where I'll be.
And for every endless midnight, there's a sky full of broken star.
And there'll always be a place for you, inside my arms.
And there's a million streets to walk down, in this city of broken hearts.
But there'll always be a place for you, inside my arms.
Where does it hurt.
Where does it hurt.

And for every endless midnight, there's a sky full of broken star.
And there'll always be a place for you, inside my arms.
And there's a million streets to walk down, in this city of broken hearts.
But there'll always be a place for you, inside my arms.
Where does it hurt.
Where does it hurt.
Where does it hurt.

    General Commenti looooooooove this song!
i think this song is a "thank u" to someone who has helped you or has been with u thru tough times in your life. and when the table gets turned and that someone is in pain, you feel the need to be there for them in return to their previous help. "where does it hurt?" she is kinda consoling the person and saying she can listen, she can understand and try to help

General CommentBeating like wind in my hand
    we can't hide
    another lie
    I'll always see into you
    there's nothing wrong
with coming up empty and cold
    staying too long
And tryin to change rocks into gold
    I've been there too
    I've wasted myself
and you were there for me

    so whenever you crash
    wherever you land
    that's where I'll be
    and for every endless midnight
there's a sky full of broken stars
and there'll always be a place for you
    inside my arms

    where does it hurt?

    When you open your heart,
there's always so much to lose
    so far to fall
and nowhere to go when it's through
but if you let me in
    I won't let you down
    put your faith in me
    cuz whenever you crash
    wherever you land
    that's where I'll be

    and for every endless midnight
there's a sky full of broken stars
and there'll always be a place for you
    inside my arms
there's a million streets to walk down
in this city of broken hearts
but there'll always be a place for you
    inside my arms

    where does it hurt?
    where does it hurt?

    And for every endless midnight
there's a sky full of broken stars
and there'll always be a place for you
    inside my arms
and there's a million streets to walk down
in this city of broken hearts
but there'll always be a place for you
    inside my arms

    Where does it hurt?
    (Ooh) Where does it hurt?
    Where does it hurt?

General Commentone of my favorites from instant star.

basically, something happened to her. she was sad, she was upset, she was lost.
but then the person helped her through it.
(i've been there too, i've wasted myself, and you were there for me).

and now the other person is the one who needs help, and she's saying, you were there for me and i'll be there for you.
and the part where she says 'where does it hurt?' reminds me of a mom who is asking her kid where it hurts so that she'll be able to help the kid.
and i take it as, like, she loves that person so much that she considers him a part of her family, because she cares for him.
so she's asking 'where does it hurt' as an attempt to ease his pain.

    brilliant song.
whoever writes the songs for instant star are pretty insane writers, haha.

    General CommentGreat song.
She's just telling someone that she knows they're hurting, she knows what it's like.
And they can come to her for help and comfort.
