I don't know
How to feel
Let the words
Come easily to me
You seem lost
In your thoughts
And I find it hard to breathe
Why won't you tell me what it is?
It's driving me crazy trying to second guess you

Don't say you love me,
I don't believe it!
Don't say the words,
If you don't mean it.
Don't want to hear it
Out in the open
Keep it inside
If you don't mean it

Don't even want to talk about it
I know that I can live without it

If it's right
If it's wrong
Would someone let me know?
It's the game
I can't play
Do I just let you go?
Maybe it's just the way it is
I get the feeling that you know it's over

Don't say you love me,
I don't believe it!
Don't say the words,
If you don't mean it.
Don't want to hear it
Out in the open
Keep it inside
If you don't mean it

Don't even want to talk about it
I know that I can live without it
I just don't want to talk about it
God knows I could live without it

Don't say you love me,
I don't believe it!
Don't say the words,
If you don't mean it.
Don't want to hear it
Out in the open
Keep it inside
If you don't mean it

i think this song is okay, the verses canm really annoy me some days, but the chorus is good. one problem it that the chorus is so quiet. its good enough, but i can barely hear it! its like the verses biuld up to something that just doesn't reach the essential "chorus peak"

i think deans a pretty good singer, he isn't all just pure good looks (but those matter too =) otherwise he wouldn't have got so far in Aussie Idol. maybe i'm a lil biased, seeing as my best friend knows him sooooo well since he moved from South Africa, and i've been told his whole life story practically . . .

    well, thats my opinion!

yer the song is pretty cool and i like it...but it doesnt really do it for me. the song is catchy so i like it but for a 'meaningful' song it lacks a bit of punch im thinkin

I'd have to agree with nemelcy, for some reason this song can get a bit annoying but I do really like it and while its not hugely deep, I think there's a good message to it. People tend to say "I love you" way too quickly in a relationship and when they don't really mean it. I love (lol) the lines "Don't even want to talk about it, I know that I could live without it" because you can definitely live without it if they don't mean it! That just hurts way more than if they never end up saying it.

Girls-watch out for guys who say it just to make you trust them and think that it'll get you to go further physically...

Make saying "I love you" special, meaningful and selfless

My ex said "I love you" after knowing him for 2 weeks. Scared me a lot cause it was way too soon. He had even told all his mates I was his girlfriend after two days of meeting him. Then just a week after saying I love you, he buggered off to queensland and didnt even call.

Anyway, I didnt really like this song at first, but after listening to it and the lyrics I understand it more and now i love it. But i do agree that its kind of annoying musically. Needless to say we broke up. But he's back and still in love with me... apparently... i dont know if he means it or not.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Cajun Girl

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
