Age five just a little boy shy
Is he ready for the big surprise
He'll be playin' Lego in a dream
When the shadows come to life

Age nine then he should've been fine with a secret he's sure to keep
Two times and they tell a little lie
For the sake of him and me
Now it's over
I need closure

Hey! look what you did to me
While you were ticking me off
Gotta be stoned leave me alone
I'm waiting for mom to comfort me
But when I open my mouth
Don't say, nothing

Age twelve and it isn't going well
Now he's three years to the day
Confused, but unlike you
This feeling wont go away

Sixteen and the woman down the street
Has invited him to come inside
First time and it didn't feel right
It'll be the last time he tries

Hey! look what you did to me
While you were ticking me off
Gotta be stoned leave me alone
I'm waiting for mom to comfort me
But when I open my mouth
Don't say, nothing's wrong

I wont say nothing's wrong.
I wont say I wont say
I wont say I wont say
I wont say I wont say

Seventeen and all he's ever seen is
A limit in between the lies
It's kind of funny how a mind
Can keep living in denial

Eighteen is a very strange scene,
And hes still playin with the past
Expelled, maybe someone could've helped
If someone had known to ask

Hey! look what you did to me
While you were ticking me off
Gotta be stoned leave me alone
I'm waiting for mom to comfort me
But when I open my mouth
Don't say, nothing

Nineteen and he's innocently
Parked right beside a school
He stares at a boy sittin' there
And the boy stares at him too
He walks over
He needs closure

I feel that it's a mixture of everyone's thoughts. "Age 5, just a little boy shy Is he ready for the big surprise He'll be playing lego in a dream When the shadows come to life" There I think he's waiting for a surprise from someone and in his sleep he gets it. Sexual abuse when he was a child. "Age 9 and he should've been fine With a secret he's sure to keep Two times had to tell a little lie For the sake of him and me Now it's over I need closure" Here I think he's hiding what's been going on and he feels that he'll lose his friends if they knew. "Hey, look what you did to me When you were taking me home Getting me stoned Leave me alone I waited for mom to comfort me But when I opened my mouth Don't say nothing, shhh" I think that here, someone got him into drugs because they wanted to sexually abuse him and he's begging to be left alone and when his mother comforts him, she tells him not to speak of it or doesn't want to here it. "Age 12 and it isn't going well Now it's 3 years to the day Confused, but unlike you This feeling won't go away" Here he might have been released from the abuse but the scarres of it still haunts him. "16 and the woman down the street Has invited him to come inside The first time, it didn't feel right It'll be the last time he tries" Here they may be talking about him going to someone's house and has sex with her and it didn't feel right and he's tramatized by the abuse. And he's not going to do this again. And when the "I won't say" verses came it, he's not telling anyone about this problem that's haunting him. "17, all he's ever seen Is the living in between the lies It's kind of funny how a mind Can keep living in denial" He's growing up more and his life is filled with nothing but lies and he's denying his past and he's also denying his sexuality or how he feels. Also that his mother is denying what has been going on to her son. "18 is a very strange scene He's still playing with the past Expelled, maybe someone could've helped If someone had known to ask" He was lost in his past and he got himself kicked out of school or kicked out of his house or his click of friends. And now he's lost because no one asked or went to help him. "19 and he's innocently Parked right beside a school He stares at a boy sitting there And the boy stares at him too He walks over He needs closure" Here there could be several meanings. One could be that he's going over to rape him as revenge, molest him or something. Possibly even to ask him out or sell him drugs or maybe to tell him what happen to him so the burden would roll off his shoulders but I feel that he's going over to talk to him because the boy had been through the same thing as him and he wants to help the boy when no one helped him and he wanted to save the boy from the cycle. But for all we know, Howard was just repeating the cycle over.

But this song is very sad and it's very deep. I just keep listening to it overr and over and everytime this came out in my mind. Sick Puppies did a great job with this song.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
