After bombs are dropped to kill
After all the buildings fall
At the time we'll have the will
To climb up from beneath it all
We'll find the strength to live
To rebuild something new
If there's anything forgive
What else can we do

I don't wanna fight your war
I don't wanna play your games
Better pray for world war four
Better hope for something more

So we're forming to our cliques
we will destroy all the clocks
and our weapons will be sticks
and the other side has rocks
and we'll clash over petty shit
but remember all the lies
That all led up to it
and bombed the world to die

I don't wanna fight your war
I don't wanna play your games
Better pray for world war four
Better hope for something more

Nothing to lose,
After all the pain
A little nuclear winter
With a little acid rain
But after this,
they'll be no more
Fucking politics
No more world war four

Better pray for world war four
Better hope for something more

"I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." Albert Einstein

I think that about says it. They based the song off the Einstein quote. I dont see whats weird....

The comment posted by WorldInferno67 I think sums up what the song was written about. The band probably feels that we've hated each other (as kids sharing an underground scene) for quite long enough. I've always disagreed with emo-bashers, since that scene got big in 2000.

I don't care about emo. Let people be people and you'll be treated the same. Stop walking on people because it eventually leads to bigger problems. Especially punks who expect to not be bashed upon daily, because it's kind of hypocritical. In your new-world police state that you will be responsible for NOT stopping, you'll be bashed upon every day by bloodthirsty deranged patriots. Why? Because you choose to direct your anger at emo kids.

How dare they harmonize the chorus and try something new; Leftover Crack couldn't be Blink-182 if they tried. While I agree this is LOC tune comes as close to Blink-182 as they ever have that isn't necessarily a bad thing; they're trying to unite the masses to stand up and think for themselves and sometimes that requires being a little softer to penetrate the delicate sensibilities.

this song being harmonized and more melodic like blink-182 doesn't mean anything negative. harmony and melody are great elements that add to a song, hence this song being so great. not only does it have an incredible message, but it has a sound that even more people can connect to. furthermore, blink-182 doesn't mean to stand for anything political. being a successful band is a personal (band) choice with what to do with your money or pursue more commercial endeavors. one of the reasons i look up to stza and loc so much is because they don't pursue anything commercial when they could so easily.

all in all this is an incredible and intelligent song.

People hear vocal harmonizing and automatically think Blink182, ignoring that it's been a part of punk rock song structure from the Ramones, to the Clash, to Bad Religion, to Social Distortion... to Leftover Crack.

    Punk elitists, fuck off!

    World War 4!

    ......

    World War 4!

What the fuck happened to Leftover Crack? Didn't they used to be good? I recall them realising a masterpiece of an album about three years ago, and now they're recording music that resembles a fucking Blink 182 song. If you disagree, then please, listen to the chorus, and disagree with me again.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
