[Stza]

So you wanna be a cop?
so you wanna be on the top
arrestin and shootin' all the kids on the block
incarcerate the youth of the next generation
and you get the high fives at the police station

[Ezra]

so you wanna wear blue
and prey on the people
go above the constitution where all men are equal
beat down the poor, the working class core
your a class trading motherfucking rich man's whore

[Stza]

'cuz it's a thin blue line between the love and the hate
if you so choose to cross it you're a nazi for the state
your injustice will crush us, the precious the few
so you wanna be a killer for the red white and blue

[Ezra]

you're a bitch to the crown
keep your own people down
you've got nothing to protect
but you're keeping the sect
for your own damn brothers you got no respect
and the killing won't stop when you become a cop

* the worlds getting madder and it ain't gonna stop
it's an uphill battle all the way until we reach the top
you got an answer in your holster
and no question to kill
you got a vision for society
and it's your will

[Stza / Ezra]

even the summer sun can't make this situation light
you've got the upper hand in a war
when you take away our arms and our means to fight

[Stza]

so you wanna be a cop?
you never stop with your wicked guns going pop
after 41 shots your grinning in the donut shop
your sickening behavior regulates this society
and musters all the sickness & hatred inside of me

[Ezra]

so you wanna wear blue?
well you're just the type
got an chip on your shoulder and an itch for a gripe
standing on a raft in an ocean of blood
but you're doin the killing and causing the flood

[Stza]

how can we tolerate this mad abuse of power?
you think a cop is never psycho till he stabs you in the shower
choking v
morning g
L.O.C
we never stop
and your death'll be sweet if ya wanna be a cop

[Ezra]

they say the sea is green and the sky is blue
and thats about right because we're below you
you cop an extra attitude when you come down my block
so you wanna be a cop?

* the worlds getting madder and it ain't gonna stop
it's an uphill battle all the way until we reach the top
you got an answer in your holster
and no question to kill
you got a vision for society
and it's your will

[Stza]

even the summer sun can't make this situation light
you've got the upper hand in a war
when you take away our arms and our means to fight

this is a great song, but its actually a Morning Glory song. MG is Ezra's one man band, he plays everything in it, and uses a drum machine for the beats. its really really hard to get MG recordings but if you can find any, get them, all the songs are really good, especially "gang control"

I dont thinks he's encouraging killing cops but encourage a revolt and expressing abuse of power on the part of cops. That shit that happend in Inglewood is so fucked up. Damn Nazi ass motherfuckers beating down kids with mental problems. Fuck the Police. Leftover Crack is the shit.

there's alot i want to say here in this box here...but i doubt i can placate myself enough to make sense...you're stupid and small minded and you have no understanding of art. your dear ol' daddy may be a cop....and i condem him for that....because he does a job that is corrupt and opressive. and i doubt you have ever listened to the song anyway...but what's really laughable is that you probably call yourself a punk because you like fuckign new found glory...and anyway u say you like alkaline trio but i haven't seen you scumming up the page with the lyrics to "cop" on it so why are you just singleing out leftover crack...? and the question i most want to ask is....have you ever asked yourself why the september 11th bombings happened? did you ever think that somewhere away from your safe little right wing continent there is a country being opressed and beaten down so much that people within that state are angry enough and feel hopeless enough to kill themselves just to get the world to notice? no. why would you do a thing like that? and if a revolution ever comes....i hope you get what you deserve.

wow thats pretty harsh..first of all i do have an understanding of art..and this is not art. and where do u get off saying that i call myself punk b/c i listen to NFG..i'm not into that whole labeling bullshit and i hardly even listen to NFG(and btw they arent really punk). and these opressed contries your so concerned about have a real shitty way of dealing with their problems..killing innocent people in other countries isnt going to slove anything.dont you dare try to make anyone involed in those bombings seem seem less guilty, what they did was wrong and totally unnecessary. you make it seem like im this small minded little princess who doesnt give a shit about anyone but herself..but you couldnt be more wrong you dont even know me what right do you have to judge me like that. lay off my dad ok...he got stuck with a shitty job for a shitty reason and he hates it. you're just as ignorant as you think that i am. but i've given up on trying to explain things to stupid people like you because i know you'll never understand. oh and i was just wondering..if this revolution ever comes..what is it exactly that i deserve?? cuz i can think of a few things you deserve :)

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
