The darkest words, the darkest thoughts
You left me now
I'm so lost
How can this pain be taken away?
How can this be in your own name?
I swear even the dead want you alive
One last kiss as we say our goodbyes
Save us from ourselves
Save us, we need you now
Bury me with you and never let my hand go
I'll think of you forever
I'll sing melodies over your grave
Songs of rememberance
And the lives you saved
I'll think of you forever
When we meet again
Will you still have that loving skeleton?

    My Opinion"Save us from ourselves
Save us, we need you now"
it's a call to the Lord, he's asking Him to save us from ourselves, because we as humans are sinners, we need Him now, we need God in our life.
it is about a dead relative/friend/other, but its also directed towards God, who we'll see when we die, Christ is the Way to God.

General CommentThis song is about dealing with death, plain and simple.
I think it also has something to do with someone asking for help because they want to join there loved dead one via suicide, "Save us from ourselves"
It's also about keeping the dead in mind for what good they've done and loving them forever, "And the lives you saved, I'll think of you forever"

General CommentI agree with Bassist in that this song is about dealing with death. I also believe it is a plea to the Lord to rescue us from death.

On a side note, this song really exemplifies drummer Marc Kohlbury's skill. The double bass run at "Bury me with you" is pretty dang good and reminds me of old AILD.
