I guess I'm hanging out alone
I'm selfish to complain
Cuz you've always got the best excuse

There's no use in forcing you to stay
You'd kick my weak butt anyway
I'll watch you on the evening news

It's just that i see you next to zero
It's so hard lovin' a superhero

You're too busy saving the world
And I think I need saving the most
And I know that you'd stay here if you could
But you're too busy saving the world

You're sliding on my favorite boots
Those tights are such a tease
But you never wear that stuff for me
Oh

Look up at the sky
It's not a bird nor a plane
The sweetest crime fighter that I'd ever see
I wish she'd call in sick
And just stay home
Just stay home

So go make the world just a little safer
I'll read all about it in tomorrow's paper

You're too busy saving the world
And I think I need saving the most
And I know that you'd stay here if you could
But you're too busy saving the world

I'm so over jumping off buildings
You catching my fall
So I'll brush up on my super villain
And I might see you more

I know you're under cover
But I want you under the covers

And does it feel like I'm asking alot?

But you're too busy
You're too busy
You're too busy
Oooooh

You're too busy saving the world
And I think I need saving the most
And I know that you'd stay here if you could
But you're too busy saving the world

But you're too busy saving the world

i think that this song is awesome! by far one of the better songs on their album! I think that when he's singing about the girl being too busy saving the world, it's just a metaphor about how he's feeling that she's neglecting him, and is a bit of an ironic statement. Also in the line, "You never wear that stuff for me", makes it seem like his girl is doing stuff for others, like workmates, friends etc, that she wouldn't do for him and so he's showing a slight jealousy...? Seems like he's complaining about her, but also letting us know how much he really cares for her... and he's also understanding of the situation..? As he does encourage her to "go save the world"

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
