When you're weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
Sis, I'll dry them all

'Cause I'm on your side, ooh, when times get rough
And friends just can't, they can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

I will lay me down (yes, I will)
I will lay me down (lay me down, girl)
I will lay me down (lay me down, girl)
I will lay me down (lay me down)

When you're down and out
And ooh, when you're on the street
Oh, when evening falls, falls so hard
I will comfort you

'Cause I'll take your part (you'll take my part)
When darkness comes (yeah)
And pain is all, when it's all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
See, I will lay me down

I will lay me down (I know you will)
I will lay me down
I will lay me down (yes, you are)
I will lay me down

Sail on, silver girl, sail on by
Your time has come, and you know you shined
And all your dreams are on their way

But see how they shine if you ever need a friend
Girl, look around, I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

I will lay me down (yes, I will, yes, I will)
I will lay me down (yes, I will, yes, I will)
I will lay me down (lay me down, for real)
I will lay me down (we don't have to worry)
I will lay me down (gotta pray to Jesus)
I will lay me down
I will lay me down (yes He is, Yes He is)
I will lay me down (yes He is, Yes He is)
I will lay me down (yes He is, Yes He is)
I will lay me down (I know He is)
I will lay me down (I know He is)
Go 'head and lay me down

This song reminds my of my husbands deep love for me. There’s nothing like it. :)

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
