Barfed, by gone in flame
I'm smart not to play this game
Sinning, take me to the moon
Backyard, I'm gonna see you soon

Shivers going up my spine
Kitty, it's only a matter of time
Born in the neighbours pool
I'm guilty by the rock n roll

I want a kitty cat my boyfriend wants a dog
We got into a fight I drowned him in the bog
I'm sorry
I'm not sorry!

I'm sorry
I'm not sorry!

I'm guilty, oh put me down
I'm on repeats and I'm going in jail
I'm guilty I'm going down
I'm on repeats and I'm going in jail

Barfed, by gone in flame
I'm smart not to play this game
Sinning, take me to the moon
Backyard, I'm gonna see you soon

Shivers going up my spine
Kitty, it's only a matter of time
Born in the neighbours pool
I'm guilty by the rock n roll

(I think a lot of this is wrong)

I think the line goes "I own a piece and now throw me in jail" and seeing the rest of the song, probably drugs, I just love BYOP's mix of love and hate, or more accourately desire and destruction , not only this song, but the brightest example would be Bunk Trunk Sunk. Anyway I fell in love with this group since the moment I randomly downloaded the entire album and I did not regret it... The next best thing!

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
