She says, "I'm dying everyday, would you save me?"
"Would you pick me up and out of this pain?"
She says, "Darling I can't recall why my chest insists to rise and fall."

And as he's watching her eyelids close in the T.V. glow,
He can't help thinking that...
She's a tightrope walker... and he's the streets below.

So put your arms down honey. This ain't no execution.
I was just watching you sleep.
So put that crown down sugar.
This ain't no crucifixion.
I was just watching you sleep...
I was just watching you.

She says, "I'm praying everyday, but no one hears me"
"No one gives a fuck about me and my pain."
She says, "Darling I can't recall why my heart wants to beat at all."

I was just watching you...sleep.
I was just watching you... sleep
I was just watching you wave me goodbye.

So put your arms down honey.
This ain't no execution.
I was just watching you sleep.
So put that crown down sugar.
This ain't no crucifixion.
I was just watching you sleep... I was just watching you.

absolutely divine.. i think it is about him caring for her but her being so defensive and accusing and not letting him in - from the chorus especially.. she is clearly really down and feels she needs to be saved and that no one cares about her and her life is pointless.. she keeps letting him go because maybe she doesn' believe her really loves her or doesn't have enough faith in herself, doesn't think she is good enough etc.. gorgeous song, wow!

At first I thought this song was about a severly troubled girl, perhaps depressed. "She's a tightrope walker" because she's on the edge of life, the tightrope, I imagined, was a metaphor for life. The guy was telling her to relax and help her through it. Only problem is he's the streets below, which would put him in death according to that. However, that does work if he is already dead and this is about her struggling through his passing? That would explain why she waved him goodbye. He's watching over her in death? And the third and final is the one Amz was saying. Sorry to write an essay on it :P

i personally love that epicure hasnt been turned into a big circus parade. it means you can appreciate it without it being made into a huge public thing, u kno?

neway wat i LOVE about this song is that there is no interpretation. i think everyone is right, its about depression, love, pain, heartache, death.....its brilliant either way

what if by saying that he's the streets below he's inferring that he wants to help her as she falls, that will try to save her, but if she falls really he wont be able to save her. at the end of the day, its a beautiful song with such a sad and touching meaning. love it!

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
