Tu me suis tu me souris dans la nuit tu me seduis
Je sais que tu sais que je ne sais plus qui je suis
Je t'aime tant, je t'aime tant pourtant
Comme le temps qui passe et ment j'attends

Toujours perdante tu me tourmentes
Et tes desirs me prirent pour me detruire
Je prends un certain plaisr a souffrir
A me punir a me repentir

Toujours soumise tu me meprises tu me rejettes tu me maltraites
Douleur et desir sont synonymes de mon plaisir
Je m'abandonne aux hommes sans souci ni tourment
Je me suis perdue sans retenue pour un jeune homme
Un peu hors de la norme

Tu me cherches tu me guettes tu me tiens et je me sens bien
Tu me prends si lentement je desapprends
Puis tu me rends mon tourment

Je te plais tu me plais

ok, blanche, i'll try to help you despite my lousy french.

you follow me, you follow me in the night, you seduce me i know that you know that i no longer know who i am i love you, i love you so, however... like time that passes and i wait

always the loser, you torment me and your desires take a hold of me to destroy me i take a certain pleasure in suffering at punishing myself, at my repentance

always subjected, you take a hold of me, you reject me you treat me badly, pain and pleasure are synonym of my pleasure i abandon myself to men without worry or torment i lost myself with abandon to a young man a little outside of the the norm

you look for me, you watch me, you hold me and i feel good you take me oh so slowly, i lose myself and you bring me back

i will be whatever pleases you, the light on your skin the one who waits at your door the one who... whatever, i will be what you want the sweat on your brow, the breeze in your hair or the one that breaks your neck

i smiled at you, i love you, i love you so i destroy you, i hold you and you come all is well that ends well you know that i know that you don’t know who you are since you gave yourself to our little show out of the norm

you please me, i please you we are the lovers of torment at night we kill boredom, love always follows us love always escapes us, love always destroys us like the rain and forgetting, like the cries in the night i love you so, i love you so, anyway i love you so, i love you so i love you so, love you so, anyway

there are probably lots of mistakes, sorry.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
