always a spectacle,
its a public show,
unimpressed so its time that i let you go.
reputation,
from these antics, I may not be pure,
but i'm not all that toxic.
Now I'm checking out,
And enlisting for stable efforts,
so lets drop the act,
I've found something that's more appealing.
All this dependence on modern machinary.
come for the weekend,
you'll stay for the scenery.
Tear down the buildings,
Bludgeon the architech,
biased opinions for outdated intellect.
Its a spectacle,
its a public show,
unimpressed so its time that I let you go.
Reputations,
from these antics,I may not be pure,
but I'm not all that toxic.
If I wanted to,
make a comeback would kids..resent..me?
Unemployment,
I've been ruined by young..kids..clapping.
i'm sailing....
And we cant....save....me.....
(and your gone)
i'm sailing...
and they cheer while they say...your name...
(We hang our heads and take the blame)
(With daggered mouths and stay controlled)
Sail along...
(These chemicals...will take your soul...)
We're sailing...
And we cant...(sailing....)
we're sinking with our ship
We're sinking with out ship....
And we can't....
And we can't......

One of my top FATA songs, to me i like to think (and its been said by others) that its jus about bein scared but still doin wat u love, 'maybe not b pure but not all that toxic' and 'sailin wif a fear of failin' definitly stik out fer me n the meanin i get from it. Btw if anyone knows the background lyrics during the last bit 'sailin wif a fear of failin', i cant quite make it out, kinda sounds like 'and you cant your sinking' and also the very last lyric i cant make it out, lyrics above say 'with a fear' but to me it sounds like 'i would care' i dunno maybe i jus hav bad ears but i ask u all take another listen!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
