Mightiest Self!
Cast out of Thy Elysium
With blood of Nazarene
I write the story of man

Two thousand years
Is nothing though it has been enough
Come forth victorious
Muting the foul angelic choirs!

None of thy empty gods, shall ever stand above me
None of thy weak brothers, shallt ever share my blood
My awareness, catalyst, of godhate I have spawned
In sinister ecstasy eternally I decompose

Race of man!
The errors of a wise make The rules
Ye shall see
Rather than the perfection of the fool
The most divine!
I am many! Among so very few
Beyond redemption, beyond the weak
Thus I beheld the truth!

None of thy empty gods, shall ever stand above me
None of thy weak brothers, shalt ever share my blood
My awareness, catalyst, of godhate I have spawned
In sinister ecstasy eternally I'm decomposed

I am the pure flame that burns
I am Sirius' son
I am the infinite space
I am the most conquering one

Satan, cast out of heaven. Man write's his history with the blood of those who die in the name of God.

2,000 years is nothing to you (Satan), but it is enough for you to be released from your den (as stated in Revelations). Come out of hell, and mute the angelic choirs.

No other god shall stand above me (Jesus), the weak will not enjoy heaven (those who don't know Christ) Knowing Christ acts as a catalyst, He thrives through the hatred of other gods (by his followers). I live in the sinister pleasure of my followers doings.

(The Devil or Nergal speaking) Race of Man, the rules are made by the errors of the "wise (those in power)" rather than by the perfection of the fool (those who blindly follow a system established by the wise)

No other god shall stand above me (Jesus), the weak will not enjoy heaven (those who don't know Christ) Knowing Christ acts as a catalyst, He thrives through the hatred of other gods (by his followers). I live in the sinister pleasure of my followers doings.

(Jesus) I am everything, I am the one who conquers all.

Based on my loose interpretation, I think he's referring to the way people conquer and destroy in the name of God, justifying their doings thusly. Nergal (or the devil, whichever you think) tells us to see that the rules are made by those who think they know best, rather than by the followers (such as the nation in a democracy).

I may be way off, but I tried.

Crowley said "I will give you a war-engine. With it ye shall smite the peoples; and none shall stand before you. (...) Conquer! That is enough." and with "Conquer All" I try to extend the meaning ov these mighty words. these lyrics are about life offering me so many opportunities which are at hand. my passions and determination are unbreakable. unrestrained will has brought me to this path I walk. it's the whole world... it's the whole universe I wish to conquer. it's all or nothing. my music and words I speak are unlimited. I see no boundaries for true art. here and now. here and beyond.

    there you go, homo's.

well after hearing this song on tv I immediatly liked this band, I think this song is about how the "bible" is junk and that we have been around for more than 2000 years.

What a great song. Pure, extreme undiluted metal, yet so melodic and catchy. Well done, Nergal.

I was about to put the same thing. I didn't think anyone else would have noticed it though.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
