"At the left hand ov god" as written by and Adam Darski....
O, Serpent and Lion!
I invoke Thee!
Inside the shrine called life
By the seven wonders
By myriad mortals
That have gone
And are to come
Outside!
Outside desert ov restriction
In act ov rebellion
On the sea ov motion
Stability ov matter
By serenity, strength and beauty
By the mighty chant ov every breath

In serpentine dance ov blood cells
In simplicity ov spells
Divine names, meta-games
I greet Thy presence

Oh Snake! Thou art God!
Coiled underneath my throne
With Thee I reunite
With blood we make this covenant
That myself I redefine
Look in and above
There is more than the flesh
Look careful and Thou may see
The unextinguished flame
The nectar ov Thy rage
I taste from the cup ov fornication
And woman by my side
And scarlet is her skin
She's eager to rise
And so eager to please

Another day
Another eternity gone
And on the stairway to salvation
I walk alone among the falling stars
Looking for company
Where art Thou?
Oh, lacerate ones!

Arise! My sweetest friend
Or be forever fallen
We have finally arrived
From prison ov this life
To Kali's womb
Down to the earth
As angels ov almighty god-
Chaos!
'Tis our last fall
To touch our mother whore
The harlot ov the saints
That spits on the rotten cross
Incinerate the icon
The symbol ov all loss
To stand straight
At the left hand ov god

Samael! Be Thou my ally!
Join me among the bright hosts
Wondering neither way ov light
Nor darkness
Ov which seed
Sprouts dispassionately
In the summer ov my life

General CommentThis song is speaking of the defiance of the Christian lord, God. The left hand of God, as opposed to the right, is the hand that strikes with wrath, so to stand up to it is something of great strength. What Behemoth is trying to communicate is that they and everyone needs to find strength and stand up to the wrath of God, an entity who is weak in its on standing.

General CommentIn addition to my previous statement, I wish for people to get the full grasp and understanding of this song. I will dissect it piece by piece. O Serpent and Lion! refers to, the Serpent, a common personification of Lucifer, and the Lion, because in Rome, 64 C.E. or A.D., Caesar dictated that all Christians are to be fed to lions...

General CommentToo me this song kinda of reminds me of the fall of Satan in the book "Paradise Lost". But in a personal way it kind of seems to me a song about finding your own inner strength in your own means.

General CommentThe acoustic intro is really badass, i love the song. "The Apostasy" is the best metal album of the year 2007.

this is more like Theistic Satanism...the snake being the Kundalini serpent that rests in the base of your spine, and the throne being your pelvis. saying that the serpent is god, means that opening all your chakras and the serpent would arise and you will achieve Godhead (having the powers of a god)...

and then with blood we make this coven, is the Theistic ritual you do. and the rest is also part of the Theistic Satanism...too long to explain
