Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na
Na, na, na na, na
Na, na, na, na

1,2,3,4
I think girls are insane
But I might be the same
They represent all we want
but also what we hate
how can I make up my mind
How can I retaliate
But I know that a like
All girls that I find
And i'm just as stupid

I know that I'm on the edge
Of going crazy
but thats okay
my mind is hazy

(chorus)
Girls just can't decide
wether they want to be bad
Or on your side
They're really hot
but that doesen't make up for a lot
They're so self-conscious
and they tend
to believe every guy is after them
but thats about stupid girls

Some girls are just a drag
you don't wanna hang out with them
But then again thats bad
Cause your not making any friends
But because they can please
they have you on your knees
Then tell all their friends
Its just a day for them
now thats stupid

(chorus)

Huh? what
what is going on know
Let me break it down
These girls have control
At least the girls i've found
One day to the next
The change rapidly
They're looking for trouble
Can't you see
and they're bad
They try to hard try to hard
but thats okay

(chorus)

Now hold up everyone
this is different but the same
They way they treat
To them its just a game
But if our teams lose
they get all the blame
They wanted that
they're on the attack from in they're pack
and its still the same
stuck in a still frame
of bad memories
with girls

(chorus)

(chorus)

I've come to the conclusion
that even though some are crazy
i'm still a fool
So girls rule!

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
