These are the secrets you will share
These are the words you cannot bear
This is the sight you'll never see
And that you have forgotten me
The voice that tempted you away
The deepest hole in which I stay
I miss you most my darkest hour
I'm wondering where the hell you are

Too late to tell you you were wrong
Another word to dwell upon
You could have waited for me
Like I was waiting just for you

The fuse is flicker in his eye
Her touch to blow me open wide
I could have run a million times
But I was waiting for you

And did you ever stop to think
About how low that you could sink
And down the low, our deepest sigh
Within yourself you cannot hide

Do photographs and faces lie?
Why did I never wonder why?
Why I was waiting for you
Why I was waiting for you

This is really sad. I guess it's about someone who opens up completely and gives himself to someone and waits and waits for them patiently and with great faith. The person doesn't give a shit and just walks away on someone who has faithful waited on em. Really sad. Oceansize is awesome at writing such sad tales into musical form.

I think it's about two people in an intimate relationship and then they break up and the other person moves on and it's written from the point of view of the other person who can't forget about it and continues to wait for their ex to come back to them.

It's an amazing song to end one of the best albums of the 21st century.

A cheating lover song. Not a topic 'Size explore that much is love, and then it's always the darker side (eg. WWLMWLD).

One of the most emotional and heartfelt songs i've ever heard, first time i picked up this album this was the song that stood out to me, im listening to it right now, i don't think i'll ever get sick of this song, or this band tbh.

Its a broken relationship, a purgatory to the one left needing more, no matter how much he/she would want that to change.

    My Interpretation

Two people were in love, but something happened and it ended. Time has passed and he is still there waiting for her. Waiting for her to come back to him.

He doesn't care what has happened between them. In fact, he could have ran away from it all but he stayed. He kept waiting... Waiting for her to come back to him. He knows that it is possible. He has proof in the form of photographs that they are perfect for each other, but she is lying to herself and that is the secret that she will not share, that she knows they belong together. That is why she hides him away in a hole in her heart. Yet he still waits.

Such a beautiful and sad song. The musical composition and the violins make it so much more personal.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
