And I'm sorry about you and me.
And I'm sorry about us.
You try to give it your best,
but to what end? Saliva.
You may no think so at first,
but I'm your designated driver.
But this roadside is not yours or mine.
And it's about time that I stop.
She is the grey weather at the end of my tether.
I didn't quite make it, I had to forsake it.
And as I sit on the train,
I can taste her in my sliva.
But i still depend on my Thursday friend, Saliva.
And there's no book about you and me.
Only snippets remain.
I get a light! I get a light from everyone.
That's right! So undetermined,
all I do now is just horrible and mean.
I used to think that she and me could only be just fine,
and to begin with nothing seems wrong.
But it's not a happy song.
And I'm sorry about you and me.
And I'm sorry about us.
I'm finfing out that you can't mess around with saliva.
And I drive a lot, 'cause I can't stop thinking about her.
(I'm in your hands).
I'll be yours, you'll be mine.
It'll be fine. Intertwined.
Wet your dried out lips with saliva.
What's more strange than this? Your saliva.
If I did not miss your saliva,
if my lips could kiss your saliva still.

I think this song is about breaking up with someone, and missing them so much that you just can't stop thinking about them.

"I drive alot 'cause I can't stop thinking about her"

And maybe they realise that, even if the relationship isn't perfect, they should try to get back together again?

"I'll be yours, you'll be mine. It'll be fine."

    That's just my opinion though.

I really, really like this song. ;D

    I agree with P3n0r.

Saw this song last night preformed by Jonas sitting alone on stage playing a tiny, tiny piano with just a little spotlight on him...

Well, after listening to this song a few times while reading the lyrics, it's pretty obvious I think.

"You try to give it your best, but to what end? Saliva. You may no think so at first, but I'm your designated driver." Jonas (yeah, that's his name ^_-) are together with this gal who is'nt that ambitious about whatever, as Jonas is. She is just driven forth by the dreams and ambition the songwriter radiates, but only the songwriter sees that (as a problem?). "And it's about time that I stop."

"She is the gray weather at the end of my tether. I didn't quite make it; I had to forsake it." He tryes to drag her with him, but realize, at the end of his tether, that it is'nt the end of the negatives.

He gets scatterbrained about wether he should let her go or not, with opinions ("I get a light from everyone") from everyone and his owns doubts, only thinkin' about those remaining short happy snippets in the relationship.

He tryes to make up his mind, looking at the positives vs. negatives, but "nothing seems wrong", so he feels bad for his undeterminition towards her.

"And I drive a lot, 'cause I can't stop thinking about her." To try not to think about her, he drives a lot (duh) but failes. He get confused again, thinkin' silly thoughts about him and her, with no negatives, to intertwine in a perfect relationship. He didn't come up with a decision, an let it all come to nothing. "if my lips could kiss your saliva --- still."

Yeah, that's how I see it, right now. ^^

    My Interpretation

I adore this song. It doesn't sound...entirely like a 'break-up' to me. To me it sounds like. He's a player. "You try to give it your best but to what end? Saliva" He doesn't really understand why people try to be in relationships, he just wants to be with everyone. "Its about time that I stop" He's just dropped a girl.

"As I sit on the train I can taste her in my saliva" I'm assuming he cheats on girls because of a girl in his past; a girl he cheated on that he can't get out of his head. Well he starts thinking of her more and more even though he's going to see another girl. "But I still depend on my Thursday friend. Saliva"

"And there's no book about you and me. Only snippets remain."

Maybe this girl he keeps thinking of, and him were never together. They just had moments, and the reason she still haunts him is because he feels he should have spent more time with her. (She might have been the one.)

"I get a light! I get a light from everyone. That's right! So undetermined, all I do now is just horrible and mean. I used to think that she and me could only be just fine, and to begin with nothing seems wrong, But it's not a happy song."

(Maybe he's trying to talk to this girl in his mind.) He gets a thrill from being with people. He just plays with their hearts, and he's mocking her by saying "all I do now is just horrible and mean." (Now he's done..talking TO her) He's thinking about his decision to continue cheating instead of staying with her. This is just his life-style so it seems natural to him...but this song no matter upbeat it might sound...just isn't happy for him.

(I don't think I need to explain the sorry parts...)

"I'm finding out that you can't mess around with saliva. And I drive a lot, 'cause I can't stop thinking about her. (I'm in your hands) I'll be yours, you'll be mine. It'll be fine. Intertwined."

He's just starting to accept he made the wrong decision. And he's starting to cheat (drive) more because he really wants to forget the whole thing. But ultimately he can't. He's realizing she has completely power over him, and he wants to finally commit to her.

"Wet your dried out lips with saliva. What's more strange than this? Your saliva. If I did not miss your saliva, if my lips could kiss your saliva still."

He wants her to kiss him, and only her lips "saliva" can satisfy him now. But from the last line it seems as if either he can't find her, or she's not willing to take him back.

    My Interpretation

I think he was maybe in a not quite commited relationship with some girl, maybe she wasn't quite into him enough to commit, and he realized that it was never going to happen so he stopped seeing her, but he misses the relationship they had.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
